Show Comments column in Bill and Income Reminders list.

Perhaps my most used displayed view is Bill and Income Reminders. On this view under the Gear icon there's an entry to "Show Account in Bills List" which is fine and great infomation. I'd like to also see an entry for "Show Comments in Bills List" For many of my Reminders I have detailed information in the Comments. So, the comments would be especially useful if seen directly in the list.

While you're adding this functionality also throw in a Tags column. The information contained in the Tag field with a Reminder would also be useful if displayed in the list.

This is the Bill and Income Reminders List on the Home tab, right?

There are several places in Quicken to view Reminders, and a related Idea is here

but that refers to the Reminders on the Bills & Income tab.

Yes I see what you mean. I guess I wasn't being more detailed in my description.

Here's the view that I'm talking about. It's a customized view I added to the Home Tab.

The Bill and Income Reminders view is provided in the list of items that can be added to a view.

The requested function is already available in the Bills, Income & Transfers view under the Bills & Income tab.
You may have to go to the Settings gear icon in this view and enable "Show memos for bills" if that isn't already enabled by default.

And please do us a favor. In your profile's Signature box remove your huge logo image or change it to display small and on left side. It really isn't necessary to show it in the Signature because every one of your contributions is already marked with your picture icon t the top.

That view isn't near as pleasing as the one I'm using. It's too bulky and cluttered. I like the "one line per item" list I'm using, it's just missing a couple of columns that would make it A++.

(I updated my profile to remove that image. I didn't know it was even there.)

    Thanks for responding.
I see the problem with the multiple "Interest Earned" reminders which I worked around in my data file by giving each reminder a distinct payee name, e.g., "Interest Earned (Bank A Checking)", "Interest Earned (Bank B Checking)", etc.

I’ve done that as well for some instances where a comment is added to the payee in parentheses. This creates a slew of payees unnecessarily. Showing the reminder’s memo field or comments in their own column is clearly the best case. Quicken at its core is just a database with a bunch of predefined reports and views. Misusing a data column by adding pseudo data is problematic.

Just to reiterate. This is the custom view I live and die with daily. If I had a Comments and Tag column my financial life would be perfect.

There's 2 other suggestions also dealing with adding a comments field to the Reminder's various lists. These 3 topics should all be merged together to get a better vote count.

I'd like to edit my responses as well as this suggestion's title but it's too late. The data field that I'm referring too appears to be called "Memo" not Comments. So, consider my request to mean the "Memo" field.

Show Memo. Yes. Better - Give us option to turn the "Memo" column on or off. and resize it.
