Can I create a dashboard card with total current credit card balances?
Can I create a dashboard card with total current credit card balances?

The standard "All Accounts" view has the credit cards segregated from other Accounts and shows both the current and ending balances.
There's also a "Credit Card Accounts" view, with more information about credit availability, but it only shows ending balances.

Sorry for the confusion, though it's created by Quicken's dual use of the term "dashboard."
At some point along the line Quicken introduced "The Dashboard" which is, essentially, a "customized view" that's available on the Home tab. If you click on the Home tab then click on the gear wheel in the upper right hand corner of the screen, one of the available menu options is "Add View." Clicking on Add View allows you to create a new View on the Home tab and presents a list of canned reports that you might put on that View. Unfortunately Quicken has in the past called these options "dashboards."
The two items referenced in my response are available to you in a new customized view that you'd add to the Home tab.
I'm not aware of any way of doing this on "The Dashboard" itself.

You should be seeing something like this:
If you're not seeing this for some reason then maybe Edit >Preferences > Navigation > Use Classic menus would work, though that shouldn't be necessary.

Also at Property & Debt > Debt there is a listing of credit cards including current and total balances.

I don't have the Add View option. Is this not available in Quicken Deluxe?

The menu has the same options whether it's in Classic or not. No option for New View.

Tom Young2:29 pm —- this worked to add the Add View option and create a tab for the credit cards. Thank you.

On the Home tab gear menu, move the slider to the right to enable the Classic Dashboard. This will enable additional tabs next to the where it says Dashboard. The default is Main View. Select that and you will see the panels of the Classic dashboard.
Now when you click on the gear the heading will say Classic view and you can customize the current view or add a new one.

Just so I understand, there is no way to add a report or new custom card to the dashboard. Correct?

If you follow the instructions I posted above, there is a long list of panels that you can add to the "Classic" dashboard. You must select from the list, you can't create new ones. They are not as modern as the new dashboard.
But if there are reports you use frequently, you can add buttons for them to the Toolbar. Go to View > Show toolbar if the buttons are not displayed near the top of your screen.

Jim, thanks for the clarification. Since I found the classic view it has allowed me to put the credit card info in a tab. I do use reports and have put the buttons on the toolbar. Initially, I was curious if you can have additional custom charts of reports in the dashboard view. I know it's limited to the ones on the list, now.
Thanks again for the help.
