Elan CC-502 error this morning
Hopefully, the CC-502 error reported during attempt to download from Elan is truly temporary.
Maybe weekend maintenance at Elan.
Am I alone in getting this error?

It's working again. Must have been early morning maintenance.

I ran OSU about 30 minutes ago and Elan downloaded properly for me.
But for me Quicken was VERY slow to open, OSU was VERY slow to initiate and complete and I got a CC-502 error code with a different credit card financial institution. Running Update Now for the financial institution that I got the CC-502 error code with, immediately after OSU, completed/resolved the CC-502 issue. All of these things occurring are often more typical of an issue with the aggregator (Intuit) or Quicken Inc. server than it is of the financial institutions.
BTW, when getting a new CC-502 error code(s) during OSU I will usually try running Update Now immediately afterward. More often than not Update Now resolves the download issue. For some odd reason, running OSU, again, does not produce the same resolution results.

Hello All,
@leishirsute & @Boatnmaniac thanks for updating and letting us know that the error self-resolved.
@pjjameso & @dwl1960 can you confirm whether or not this error has resolved for you as well, or is it still ongoing?
Thank you!

I've tried downloading from Elan this morning, as recently as 3 minutes ago, without success. So, seems may be working for some but not others. It appears that the login is successful as get a "complete" message, but new transactions do not come across.

Just downloaded. All good for me now.

Not downloading any transactions for me as of this afternoon. No error code, just "0 new transactions" on both accounts when there should be several.

Were you expecting transactions that had posted at Elan on/before 9/16 (Friday) to download yesterday (Sunday)?
I've found that Elan typically does not post transactions on weekends. So, the only transactions that Elan downloads to me on weekends and Monday mornings are those that had posted on or before the prior Friday. Any transactions that were pending on Friday night through Monday morning will not post at Elan until Monday evening at the earliest. So those posted transactions will not download until Monday night or Tuesday morning.
For me, the last posted transactions that were downloaded (on 9/17) are transactions that had posted at Elan by 9/15. I have 6 new transactions dated 9/16-9/18 that per the Elan website are still showing as pending. They are reflected in Quicken as pending transactions but they have not downloaded, yet, as posted transactions because they have not yet posted at Elan. I am anticipating that at least some of these pending transactions will post later today and will then download later tonight or tomorrow morning. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Following up on my post from yesterday: 3 of the 6 pending transactions I'd mentioned posted on Elan's website yesterday and download into Quicken last night as they should have. The other 3 pending transactions are still showing as pending on Elan's website and have not downloaded. For me, downloading from Elan is working as it should.

The missing transactions were from 8/8 and earlier. They showed as processed online but did not show up in the download. I did another update today and those same transactions are still missing even though more recent ones downloaded again.

I did have an issue this past spring (Feb-June) where sometimes a couple of transactions would not download when expected. I manually entered them into the register and forgot about them until about a month later when they suddenly downloaded. I haven't seen that issue since mid-June but maybe that is what is happening with you?
Anyway, at this point it appears that Quicken thinks those missing transactions were previously downloaded. Quicken "remembers" previously downloaded transactions and will filter them out of future OSU downloads It's what keeps our registers from being constantly inundated with duplicate transactions.
If you have only a few missing transactions, you might want to consider manually entering them because it will probably be the fastest and easiest way to get your account register complete and in balance.
If you have quite a few missing transactions you might want to consider going to your online account and then downloading the date range of the missing transactions in QFX (or "Quicken" or "Web Connect") file format. After the file is downloaded, open/run it with Quicken. When the data is imported, DO NOT connect it to your existing account in Quicken. Instead, select Add so it sets up a new account in Quicken. Then you can move the missing transactions from that new account to your current account. When done, you can delete that new account you just set up.

Yes, I've just been adding them manually. thank you though for the instructions on using the QFX files. I do have some cards this happens with that I use much more regularly that sometimes also miss transactions.
Cheers
