@Paddy I don't use automatic reconciliation, but manual worked fine.

@Quicken Anja - Can you provide update on next steps. It appears some people have found something that is working for them - I am hesitant to do anything until I get a response from Quicken.

@Quicken Anja I called into Quicken and they say it's an ongoing issue. Can you find out why please and update us? Thanks!

It seems to be fixed for me since 4/8/2025

On an Schwab IRA I have, the monthly interest on Cash (Schwab Government Money Fund) has always downloaded into Quicken (Windows) as "0". I have to sign onto my Schwab account to find the correct amount and manually change the "0" to the correct amount.

I've tried to get this corrected via Schwab and Quicken for several years and have just given up and make the manual change every month.

Nothing new here; Quicken has been trying to get TreasuryDirect downloads active but it's proven to be a useless endeavor… I have had an active "Ticket ID" (11582880) for months with no responses to my requests for updates!

On the other hand, The Quicken renewal Billing is always on time!

Definitely much faster adding the missing amount each month than posting to Quicken for a resolution. I would like to note, however, that those GOVT FUND transactions look different from all other transactions in the Schwab activity history, usually not a single date but a date range like the 15-17th of the month, and the amounts are not in line with the other transactions, so this quirk might not be totally Quicken's fault.

I just reset my Schwab Checking account (3rd time doing this) and it actually downloaded transactions with correct amounts. I'm going to check everything and see what happens tomorrow before I call this fixed.

OK, it's April 15th. Is this glitch with Schwab still happening? I've been on the phone with Quicken Tech Support about 5 times, and they say it's still pending. My last call on Monday (4/14) they said 48 more hours to resolve. What I did was installed a back up from 3/30/25, then added all my transactions from Schwab manually. But I'm afraid to update through the Quicken on-line connection till this is solved so I don't corrupt my "new Quicken" version with crazy $0 entries and a weird beginning balance (dated 2008!!)

    Any updates?

@Nat678! This morning, I reset my connection on my checking account and did an update and it worked. It pulled transactions and they were listed as "Matched" now for all of the "fixed" amounts that I entered in myself. If you are worried about getting all zeros, turn off your automatic entry after download so you can manage transactions yourself.

April 16th: Thanks, I did reset my connection with Schwab. Tried to download with One Step and no transactions were reconciled. No new transactions downloaded. No bogus entries, but the Quicken and Schwab were clearly not sinced. Any ideas? Are we still waiting for a fix from Schwab? Or a fix from Quicken?

    Thank you friends!

Okay, I met with a Quicken support person today on a scheduled appointment. Here is the thing that resolved my issue and I do not know why the 1st line do not tell people this but I had to deactivate the account and then remove the Financial Institution and Account Number. Do not remove the Account Name. I then added the accounts back by Adding Account, linked them all to the existing accounts and all the transactions showed up.

April 17th: I tried to deactivate account , remove Financial Institution and Account Number. Did not remove Account Name, added account back and linked to existing—-and I had the same problem when I did the One Step Update: My beginning balance in 2008!!! increased by a the amount of a deposit done April 2, 2025!! And nothing got reconciled. I had to trash that and go to the back up I created a day ago where I had entered all transactions manually. This is crazy long for Quicken or Schwab to not solve this glitch!!

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

April 18—any updates from Quicken on whether this has been resolved?

  • Nat678!
Nat678! Quicken Windows Subscription Member ✭✭

April 21—still not working. Quicken Support says that this is an open ticket with Schwab and that the issue is with Schwab, not Quicken. He gave me a ticket # 11697199, but I can't find any reference to that ticket # in the support discussions.

@Nat678! I had to go back to an older file. Run the update, then deactivate the affected accounts, active them and it worked.

Paddy, you wrote: "I had to go back to an older file. Run the update, deactivate the affected accounts and it worked."

When you say you went back to an older file —do you mean use an uncorrupted "back-up?"

When you say "run the update" —do you mean use the "One-step" updating function to download transactions from Schwab?

Do you deactivate Schwab as a last step or a first step?

    Thanks,

    Mimi

I went back to March 20th before all this started. I ran the update even though it may not work to see if it will work now, then if it doesn’t worked, I deactivated. Remove Financial Institution and Account Number only, then reactivate using the + sign for adding an account with Schwab.

April 25th: Unfortunately, it did not work. I deactivated my Schwab account, removed the Account Number and Financial Institution, reactivated with Schwab. When I then tried to "One step" update from my quicken to sync with Schwab and nothing updated to my Quicken. No transactions that had cleared at Schwab were reconciled with the One step update. I did not get any $0 or incorrect downloads. I got nothing.😐️

May 2: Quicken downloads stopped April 9.

I tried resetting and deactivating the account. Nothing works. CC-800 errors.

Help line says "it is a corrupted file" and I must make a 'copy of the file' and that will delink the account. Has anyone gotten this advice from support? I haven't seen it on 'community'.
