OL-220-A error Regions Bank

Options
Quicken Windows Subscription Member

OL-220-A error received attempting to direct connect with Regions Bank. Error first encountered this AM and is still recurring. This is identical to problem with connection between Regions and Quicken that began last October and wasn’t resolved until January. I certainly hope it can be addressed and fixed more expeditiously.

Same problem - sent in the logs. I found a similar problem someone reported having with Fidelity. They managed to solve the problem with a combination of deactivating all Fidelity accounts, removing the financial institution's name from the accounts general tab, and then reactivating. I cannot figure out how to remove the financial institutions name from the account's general tab. Anyone know how to do this?

    Hello @rfsinten,

    Thanks for joining this thread!

Here are the instructions that you requested, it is recommend to save a backup before proceeding. Also, please keep in mind that since this is a widespread issue, there is no guarantee that these instructions will resolve it.

    1. Open the Account List in Quicken (Tools > Account List OR Ctrl + A)
    2. If present, select the Show Hidden Accounts checkbox at the bottom of the Account List
    3. Edit each account with this financial institution to Deactivate (or Remove From One Step Update) on the Online Services tab image.png
    4. Click on the General tab and remove any info displayed in the Financial Institution, and Account/Routing Number fields. Note: The account must be deactivated first before these fields can be edited.
    5. When finished, close the Account List
    6. Close, then re-open Quicken
    7. Navigate to Tools > Add Account
    8. Walkthrough this process as if you were going to add a new account, providing the login credentials and answering any security questions/processes presented until you reach the screen where Quicken displays the Accounts Discovered at the financial institution
    9. Very carefully LINK each of the found accounts to the appropriate account you already have set up in Quicken.

    I hope this helps!

I am having the same issue - first noticed yesterday morning (4/29). Reset Account did not work for me as it returned an error as well. I am hesitant to Deactivate/Reactivate unless someone confirms that it worked for them :-)

Have logged into Regions Online Banking and confirmed there are transactions available for download, but have been getting this error for several days.

Seems to work now. Just updated.

  • Quicken Windows Subscription Member ✭✭

Yes - this is now working for me as well

Seems to be resolved! Kudos to Regions and/or Quicken for quick response. Regions support was very proactive this time in gathering data to troubleshoot the error.

I started having this problem again on 4/28. Regions and Quicken are playing their usual game of finger-pointing.

I too hope they won’t waste two months solving it again.

    fixed for me

still going on. and why is it that when there is an issue that quicken wants you to de-activate and re-activate.

  • Quicken Windows Subscription Member ✭✭

    Hello @aevette and @laserbeam,

Thanks for coming back to let us know. I have sent this information to my team. Would you please navigate to Help > Report a Problem to submit updated log files?

The reason we often recommend deactivating and reactivating accounts is that it essentially resets the connection between Quicken and your financial institution. This process can clear out cached connection data or outdated tokens that may be causing the issue. It’s not always a permanent fix, but it can temporarily restore functionality while we work on longer-term solutions behind the scenes.

Let me know once you have submitted the problem reports please!

As many others have noted, this error keeps showing up for Regions Bank. This started a few weeks ago and continues now.
