    Barclays was working shortly after this but now had a CC-800 error. I went through the procedure to validate (and super validate) my file along with resetting up all my accounts via "Add account". All accounts work except for a connection to Barclays Bank. All I get now is "We encountered an error while connecting to your bank" when trying to add the account. I can log in manually to the website without any issues.

    Hi-I am receiving the cc-592 error from Barclays. I have reported this for several days. I am going to report the other problems that I am having with Wellsfargo and Pinnacle Banks. I keep submitting the reports but nothing seems to be addressed.

    I am also receiving the CC-592 error on Barclays. Same as the previous poster, it started today (8/17)

    Received CC-592 error today when trying to add Barclays account to Quicken. I can log onto Barclays via their website but not requires two factor authentication. I had the same Quicken issue earlier in July that seemed to go away after a while. When I had Quicken access to Barclays, the website also was not requiring MFA to log in. Now I have the Quicken CC-592 error when trying to add the account and the website is back to requiring MFA for me.

    Same CC-592 issue here, I followed the instructions in the support article

    Error When Using Online Services: CC-592 (or FDP-192 in Quicken for Mac)

    There is no secondary authentication method, I logged into my account page and find no MFA or any such item.

    This error just started within the last 4 days, on Wednesday I was able to sync with no issues and they have not changed a thing on their web site.

    Hello All,

    Thank you for letting us know you're seeing CC-592 errors with Barclays. To troubleshoot this issue, please follow these steps from our article on CC-592 errors:

    You may need to deactivate or change the secondary authentication method in use on their website before Quicken can update your account.

    To do this:

    1. Log in to your bank's website and locate the setting that specifies the secondary authentication method in use for your account.
    2. Deactivate the secondary authentication method, or change it to something else, such as "security questions" (if available).
    3. Restart Quicken and try again.

    If the issue persists after you have done the above, then in your Quicken file, please navigate to Help>Report a Problem and send a problem report with log files attached.

    Well this is odd:

    I tried signing into my Barclay's credit card account on a browser a few moments ago, this time my browser was asking for a 'secure code' sent either to my email address or mobile phone number to authenticate it was indeed me signing into the account.

    I went through the process and it let me sign in. I then went back to Quicken to set up downloads into the Barclays card. This time Quicken connected to Barclays and downloaded transactions.

    BUT, when I accepted the transactions and then again tried to update the account again via One Step Update, to make sure I could still connect to the account, I get the CC-592 errors again (I tried and Quicken failed 4 times in a row).

  • @tnmats if you deactivate the 2FA in your Barclay's account, are you then able to successfully complete an OSU without errors?

    It sounds like Barclay is either implementing or changing their authentication method, which may be incompatible, or not yet compatible, with Quicken.

    If you are able to update with the 2FA turned off, that means, for the time being, you will need to have it turned off in order to download updates to Quicken.

  • @tnmats if you are unable to deactivate or change 2FA in your Barclay's account, I have read that other users with the CC-592 error with their Barclay's account fixed the issue by deactivating and reactivating their account.

    My 2 Barclays CC accounts broken as well, as of 08.17. Same error CC-592. Reset, reconnect and website security adjustments did not work. Was working yesterday. Reported a problem in-app.

    Problem continues and I haven't found a way to turn off MFA with Barclays. Seems to be a new log-on requirement. I can't deactivate and reactivate the account. I've already deactivated it a few days ago, when the problem started, and now Quicken can't set up the account.

    I am able to connect and go through OSU as of this morning. I had deactivated the accounts yesterday. Today, I went through the normal account connection process and was successful.

    Today (Aug 19) downloads are working ok. I did deactivate/reactivate previously, downloads worked once then on a subsequent try same CC-592 error. For now downloads are working fine.

    FYI, Barclays does not offer any 2 factor authentication option to be turned on/off.

    I wasn't able to download any transactions for the past few weeks so I deactivated online services yesterday. I couldn't reconnect my account to Barclays online services yesterday, but could today. Downloads also seemed to work today.

    I'm still having problems adding Barclays account. I'm not getting any specific error code. Sometimes it comes back with a blank dialog box with not accounts. Sometimes when I click on "next" or "close", Quicken shuts down and I have to restart. I've logged out of my Quicken account and I'll try again tomorrow with relogging in and trying to add Barclays.
