Where can I get the version that I paid for?
The link doesn't work. This is much like ransomware. At the time of purchase, I was told that I could continue to use the software without a subscription. You will lose the download functionality. At expiration, they take a bunch of your screen as a reminder to send them $ now.

Here is the correct link for Quicken Classic for Windows US:

It is not clear what your issue is. Are you complaining that besides not being able to do any of the online features, that you have lost screen space to the nags to renew? That is what corporate Quicken has decided to do and the only thing you can do is renew if you don't like it that way. There is no known way to remove the nags.
Now, I'm assuming that you are using Deluxe or higher. Starter Edition goes into READ-ONLY mode when the subscription expires, once again, that is Quicken's policy, no getting around it.
The link that is referenced instructs a user how to install the last release that they are eligible to use based on when their subscription expired if they need to do a re-install. On an existing installation, when the subscription expires, you get the nag messages and Quicken won't apply any new problem patch releases and your installation will remain at the last release that the expired subscription allowed.

This is not true any longer. Sometime between Dec 2024 and Apr 2025 this was changed some. Either the functionality was changed or the language was corrected, I don't know which. You can read about the functionality Starter retains after the subscription expires in this Support Article: .
…without a subscription. You will lose the download functionality.
To clairify: What is lost when the subscription expires is ALL online services, not just downloading.
I can certainly understand the anger/frustration about the reminder banners but IMO it is incorrectly directed toward the wrong entity because it is documented in Quicken's terms and conditions and on their website in the Data Access Guarantee. The issue is that many (most?) people do not bother to read the terms and conditions that we all needed to agree to before we were permitted to even start using Quicken and who is responsible for that?

Oooops. I forgot that has changed.
I did just test this with a Starter Edition subscription that I have that expired on 1/1/2024. The latest version that I can install and run is R53.26 from December 2023. It does not allow me to save a new transaction. It also does not allow me to change an existing transaction. The test file didn't have a budget or reminders, so I can't test those statements.
Now, maybe the changes only apply to more recent releases and they also say some folks are having some issues, so it could be an issue of when the subscription expired or just a problem with the current process.
The article needs to spell out whether it only applies to releases after a given date or all subscription releases.

Hello @boesiger,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention! I have forwarded this issue with the link not working to the proper channels for further investigation and resolution.
In the meantime, the link that @Boatnmaniac provided earlier should work to let you revert to the version of Quicken you were using when your subscription expired.
Thank you!
