If we transitioned, are we supposed to try downloading (EWC) again, or should we reset the links? I have about a dozen different accounts with Fidelity and don't want to mess them up.

    Please provide some guidance.

Read the alert and did not see mention of the rounding issue on share amount, just for CDs.

Also do not understand the workaround here:

    • Cash Balance Doubled (Money Market Accounts): Cash and Money Market security both show, doubling the total.
      • Status: Fix is in progress.
      • Workaround:
        • Option 1: Enter a “Shares Out” to remove the Money Market shares.
        • Option 2: Set the cash balance to zero and leave the Money Market shares in place.

I don't have Money Market shares in my Quicken account to remove. The downloaded data is showing MM shares and cash amount. Guess I just wait for the Fix in progress and hope that solves it.

Brokerage Cash Management Account not treating CASH or

FIDELITY GOVERNMENT MONEY MARKET (SPAXX)  as CORE(CASH) . Showing both as non core.

I downloaded as usual but my fidelity account was not correct, then I saw a security was not updated for quantity held. I looked in the transaction list and it showed the purchased with quantity and price and total transaction but did not update the quantity on portfolio page, it deducted the cash from my balance and that is correct but the total held is not. How can i fix this?

I found it created a remove shares for the exact amount but 2 years earlier! How does that happen? I removed that entry and all is good now. I don't understand this

Has anyone tried an update to Fidelity accounts using EWC+ since this R64 release? I reverted back to DC after reading all of the above comments. It was a tremendous amount of tedious work and wasted time - even after following the bhockney 8/23 tip. I still had to go back and edit all of the categories.

I have zero confidence that this release will fix the problem until I hear differently from this community. I told my Fidelity account manager that I was moving several accounts over to Schwab so I could see if transaction download works better there. The manager claimed that this was all the result of Quicken not being able to handle the download process from Fidelity. I am so sick and tired of Quicken blaming Fidelity and vice versa.

I'm not seeing an R64 release yet. I'm on R63.21 and tells me there's no new updates when I check. Do you have release notes from when you updated? Wondering what it says was addressed.

You possibly might be able to find more specific information of EWC+ under Quicken  R64.19 here:

I just checked in my Quicken Classic app and it shows the current released version is R64.19. It also shows the release notes for R64.19.

It does look like the R64.19 Announcement has not yet been updated to show that it is now in general release. But that should not be stopping your Quicken installation from doing the version update because these versions Announcements are simply informative and do not actually control the releases. You can view the Announcement with Release Notes at Windows R64.XX Release (US).

If you still are not seeing the ability to update to R64.19 in your app then you might want to consider manually downloading and installing the Manual Patch Update file from https://www.quicken.com/support/update-and-patch-20182019-release-quicken-windows-subscription-product/ . (This is usually how I update my version because I feel that it results in a more reliable and trouble-free update installation than when using the .) The release notes are also shown here.

Note that there are some issues that have been identified with R64.19.

    • Perhaps the one that is frustrating users the most is that their QBM Quick Pay settings no longer work and need to be set up, again. So, they need to be disabled and then added/set up, again. This is necessary because of the new eBill provider and the new Quick Pay protocol. So, is it a Quicken software issue or is it more of a nuisance issue that is not terribly intuitive enough to easily know what needs to be done. My guess (and is it a guess since I don't used QBM at all) that it is more of a not easily knowing how to complete the set up for the new protocol. There are several posts about this in the Community so do a search for them if needed.
    • Another issue: Tax Planner has been updated to include the additional $6K deduction for 65+ seniors. But it does not calculate the deduction reduction properly for Married Filing Jointly when the total MAGI exceeds $150K.
    • In Tax Planner in 4 data files most of the User Entered, Scheduled Bills and Deposits entries and No Projected Amount settings were changed to Estimate Based on YTD Daily Average. Of course, these things can really mess up the results of Tax Planner but they were pretty easily corrected. Still it was a nuisance to go thru each Tax Planner category to make needed corrections.

But R64.19 does resolve several issues so for many people it seems that R64.19 is probably a good thing to update to.

Yes, it was R64.19 to which I was referring. @Boatnmaniac clarified it nicely.

Among other updates, release notes indicate that missing transactions for brokerage accounts has been fixed.

What I was wondering (and still am wondering) is whether anyone has updated to this release and found the transaction download issue with Fidelity accounts has been fixed with the EWC+ connection set up.

I updated to Release 64.19 for Quicken Classic. I de-activated and then re-activated my Fidelity accounts. Despite the program saying that the connection was successful, transactions are still NOT downloading. It is now more than a month since this has been occurring. I think everyone's patience (including mine) is wearing thin.

I was able to download data from all my Fidelity accounts, but I was presented with a question regarding my cash balance and whether to consider these transactions as cash or shares. Additionally, reinvestments are now displayed as both 'sell' and 'buy'. All of my cash funds are now showing as mismatches. Do you have any suggestions on how to clean this up? I removed a lot of duplicates, but I will wait for my statement to be reconciled.

Wondering what is happening to correct the Fidleity issue with incorrect values. Appears that quicken is posting incorrect prices causing the value to be understated. This has been going on for over a month, and I would expect more information on the issue and when it will be resolved.

Given this is a subscription which I pay for I expect better service than Quicken is providing.

Please provide more information and a valid ETAZ on fixing the pricing issue.

I have the same issue, and there's some strange message about the remove shares line item being a special transaction to maintain shares at zero as of a future date (and the date I happened to notice the items were missing.)

Was offered 64.23 this morning during OSU. The release notes don't mention anything specific to fixing issues with the Fidelity migration. Has anyone tried this yet? I typically give new updates 1-2 weeks before installing them, letting other brave souls go first 😀

  • HKB

@BryanK R64.23 is focused on Bill Payment matters, not related to Fidelity DC → EWC+ migration.

Today when I downloaded transactions, the new purchases show in transactions but it does not update the portfolio screen to correct balances. This is on a saturday so I will wait till update on monday to see if it corrects itself

When I updated Quicken Fidelity accounts this morning there was no error message and it said all accounts updated and one had 2 transactions, however no downloaded transactions show up. When I went to check passwords the vault says none required…but there was always one before. It wouldn't let me add/modify a password for Fidelity accounts. I checked Fidelity directly and there is activity that should have downloaded but didn't. This download problem has been around quite a while now, when will it be fixed????

I am having trouble with Fidelity downloads as well. I keep getting the wrong share price for the CDs I have listed in my Fidelity account. Instead of saying something like 100.095 for one CD, it will show a price of 0.95. This has gone on for weeks. Any solutions? Thanks.

Problem downloading cash transactions and updating prices for annuity positions. Been going on for weeks. Fidelity acknowledges the problem but says it's caused by Quicken. Tried deactivating/activating, no help. I guess someday it will be fixed.

In the section zzz-Fidelity Updates - Page 21 — Quicken you'll find very detailed discussions about all of the known problems with the Fidelity downloads to Quicken, their history and progress toward their resolution.

It's been a long and frustrating grind, but there is a dim light in the tunnel.

Are people still able to connect to Fidelity with Direct Connect? I am still not receiving any Fidelity transaction after switching to Express Web Connect+. Is there any up-to-date information about when this is going to be fixed? 6 weeks and counting!

  • Bill Sauter

I never switched from direct connect and have been receiving all my Fidelity transactions as before. No issues for me.

No new info that I know of regarding fixes.

Yes, I am connecting using Direct Connect. It shows as "zzz-Fidelity Investments - DC" in Quicken.

Initially, I switched fairly early but was able to revert back quickly by restoring a backup from before the switch, then declining the "update". If anyone is still on DC (as I am), it no longer prompts to convert. Quicken has suspended the transition until further notice.

I connect and download with Direct Connect listed as "zzz-Fidelity Investments - DC" in Quicken. Transactions look reliably accurate except for extra decimals that mess up Share balance by a little.

This morning, Quicken presented a message to convert accounts to a "New" connection method from "zzz-Fidelity Investments - DC." Version of Quicken is: R64.25, Build 27.1.64.25

However, I did not update the connection method. Anyone who has updated to the new connection method, please share your thoughts on it.
