Converting from Quicken Classic Mac to PC

I was using a subscription version 8.3.0 of Quicken Classic for Mac and now I want to convert to my new PC. On the mac, I went to export to Quicken Transfer File (QXF) and saved it on a portable drive. When I went to Import Quicken Transfer Format (QXF) File and it always ends with "import failed". I have searched for an answer to this on the web, which seems to be a common problem, but can't find a viable fix. I have used quicken for many years and I want to keep the same data but use PC now. Are there any answers to this issue?

    What version of QWin, and which QWin product, are you trying to import into? Which specific QMac product do you have?

    The "classic" term is marketing mumbo-jumbo that tells us nothing about your Q products.

    Since the QFX format is binary and only the Quicken Developers know the format, there is basically nothing anyone can do when it fails other that report it as a problem to Quicken Support and Help → Report a Problem and hope that it gets fixed in the future.

    Hello @Gamatsumoto,

    Unfortunately, file conversion does not always succeed. There are a couple things you can try, just in case file-specific issues in the Quicken for Mac file are causing the conversion to fail.

    First, you can try restoring a backup and see if that restored backup will successfully convert to Quicken for Windows format.

    Second, you can try exporting your Quicken for Mac data to QXF format, creating a new Quicken for Mac file, importing the QFX file into that new file, then try converting that to Quicken for Windows format.
