META still bringing in FB pricing on Mac

I'm a Quicken Mac user since 2015 and I've NEVER been so frustrated.

How has Quicken known about this since summer and it's still not corrected?

In Windows community group for this problem, people have suggested editing the individual security, but the Mac version won't let me. I've tried but it gives the message - "This security (META) is already in your security list". I can only edit the price and I have to do that every day because each new download brings in the wrong price again. I'm getting downloads using Direct Connect for Fidelity and Quicken Connect from Wells Fargo. If I select Security Overview from the box inside Quicken while editing the security, it goes to https://investing.quicken.com/public/api/index.asp?symbol=FB&..wsodbackdoor..=off and this is the FB ETF that has no connection with META pricing.

Based on guidance in the Windows community group, I FINALLY deleted the three accounts holding META so that I have NO holdings of META or Facebook showing in my investments - which REALLY makes me mad because I've lost all my historical Net Worth data - but to stop having to update the price daily, I thought it might be worth it.

When I logged in and re-linked the accounts from brokerages, my META holdings are changed by Quicken to the security name of Facebook and Quicken is still bringing in the wrong FB ticker symbol pricing FOR THE CURRENT DAY. Just as frustrating, the HISTORICAL pricing under the security is the correct META history.

I'll post this again through the software link to report a problem - but anything the community can help me with in the short term to not have to fix the pricing daily would be appreciated.

    Hello @scshoes2,

Thank you for providing all the details—I completely understand how frustrating this must be.

This is a known issue that is still being actively investigated by our teams, and the ticket for it remains open. At this time, we don’t have an ETA for a fix.

Unfortunately, there are no known workarounds for Quicken Classic for Mac at the moment. However, I’ll leave your thread open so other community members can share any solutions they may discover in the meantime.

We appreciate your patience as our teams work toward a resolution.

@scshoes2 I believe the problem is that Quicken gets its quote (security prices) delivered from a service from an unnamed third-party provider company. Quicken can report the issue to them, but can't fix the problem themselves. It's surprising that their quotes provider hasn't fixed this issue after all this time.

You may find this Windows discussion helpful.

In case the incorrect price is coming from a broker rather than the quote provider, also check any accounts that may have held FB in the past and are still set up for downloading.
