After 6 weeks of missing transactiosn with Fidelity, Quicken support helped me resolve the Fidelity missing transaction issues last week (week of September 16). After that, no missing transactions through 9/24. This morning (9/25) the app updated to R64.30. Now Fidelity transactions won't download again. All other instituitons (banks and credit cards) download transactions without a problem. Now I get error code CC-501 for Fidelity Investments, and no downloads

When I launch the Quicken app, the Quicken logo briely appears and that logo includes the Fidelioty logo with words like "Powered by Fidelity". That implies some sort of special relationship with Fidelity. When can we expect the Fidelity issues to be fixed for good? - Frustrating

Upgraded to R64.30. De-activated and re-activated Fidelity accounts. Still NO downloaded transactions from Fidelity. BUT this time I got a CC-501 error message! Nearly 2 months of aggravation with Quicken - Fidelity interaction now - really frustrating. Meanwhile, Schwab and other bank accounts are working fine.

Does anyone know where we submit invoices to Quicken to bill them for our time?🙄 This is beyond rediculous, even with the bar set extremely low from countless past fumbles.

Although my multiple Fidelity accounts have been downloading, one of the accounts continues to give me the cc-800 error each time I download. I have tried the fix it button as well as deactivating and reactivating it multiple times, but the error message continues. At this point I am ignoring the error it since the transactions are downloading but it is annoying and I also don't trust that it isn't going to stop downloading again one of these days. Is this one of the remaining problems?

For over a week, I was having issues downloading transactions from one Fidelity account. I had no issues on the other 5+ Fidelity accounts. After wasting a lot of time resetting the account, deactivating and re-activating, opening old files before the issue, etc. the account uploaded everything last night.

Today (09/25/25), Quicken launches the R64.30 "fix" for Fidelity accounts and now the account, which was finally working after more than a week, is no longer updating. Did anyone test the update before implementing?

@jerz-joe What time today did you attempt to download the transactions? I had a problem with EWC+ accounts not updating early this morning, but by 12:35 PM Eastern time, it was working.

I switched to the new Fidelity download connection and it double counts in my cash management account—it lists the two banks where Fidelity has put the money with the amounts in each, and then has a cash entry which simply duplicates the total dollars in the two bank accounts, so it shows twice the money that's in the account It used to just follow the cash, which it still does accurately in transactions. How do I stop the double counting?.

I have experienced the same thing over the last couple of days. If this is going to be the norm, I will wait until the middle of the afternoon to update Fidelity.

    Summary: Still Not Working Properly

Yesterday, Thursday 25 Sept 2025, after updating Quicken Deluxe to R64.30, I successfully performed another reauthorization with Fidelity. This morning after downloading Fidelity updates, the same issue identified above still exists; the DC connection works properly, but the EWC+ connection did not include the sale of FZDXX in the investment portion of the split account to cover the check withdrawal.

I'm very glad the Sept 25 switchover passed without disabling the legacy DC connection.

No prompt to re-authorize Fidelity today for me… I'm still on DC and have been since the start.

I received an update (Quicken Classic version R64.30 build 27.1.64.30) that allegedly fixes the Fidelity issues, but did absolutely nothing for my Fidelity HSA account. The previous "new method of connecting" made a disaster of the account, adding multiple money-market transactions & short-cover transactions (?), changing previously reconciled transactions, etc. The net result was a unfathomable balance mismatch. Additionally, no new REAL transactions have been downloaded in several weeks, even though they show up on the Fidelity website as activity.

Again, the "update" appears to do nothing. Meanwhile, I deleted all the extraneous transactions and am about to disconnect the account from online access altogether unless this can be resolved quickly

Like another recent post, I've been using Quicken for decades and have never encountered such situation

@jtk same problem as you with Quicken Classic for Mac. I attempted to update the Fidelity connection today, and once again the cash amount was doubled because it showed up as both "cash" and the sweep accounts used by Fidelity. I ended up having to fall back to a backup again, which is really a pain and I'd prefer not having to keep doing it. Maybe it got fixed for Windows, but certainly not for Mac.

Another difference between DC and EWC+ connection methods. I did a Roth conversion Friday, the DC method properly recorded the transaction as Remove shares in the Traditional IRA account and the Roth IRA as Add shares. However the EWC+ method recorded the same transaction incorrectly as a Sell shares in the Traditional IRA and the Roth IRA as Buy shares.

Plenty of issues remain to be resolved.

I have several Fidelity accounts, and only 1 of them consistently works. I've followed all of the advice from Quicken, and it still doesn't work. Why can't we revert to the direct connect (which worked perfectly for over 20 years!)?

I have a checking account linked to an investment account, and Quicken/Fidelity doesn't even show the investment account when I try to add it!! The transactions virtually never download - even after Fidelity authorizes them.

This terrible, long-running error places a black mark on both Fidelity Investments and Quicken. It's almost unimaginable that both of these companies would allow so many problems for their customers. I won't trust Quicken until everything works properly for a full month. Right now, I can't believe anything they release.

I'm getting the "reauthorize" prompt after having successfully migrated from zzz-Fidelity DC to Fidelity EWC+. After some tweaks and upgrading to R64.30, it was working well, including treating MMFs as cash. Now it seems like it's going backwards.

I'll wait a couple of days until I hear more reports from those who go through the reauthorize process I'm being prompted to do.

Is rolling back to DC with an older backup still an option?

  • Bill Sauter

I migrated a week ago. I have been asked to reauthorize twice for each of my accounts but it has gone smoothly and all transactions are downloading

Upgraded to R64.30. At first was not getting any transactions. Now seems to be working OK for 2 accounts. Will wait and see how the end of month downloads (mainly Interest) work out tomorrow before re-activating my others.

    Hello @SeaSilver8,

Thank you for sharing your experience! Did you manually correct the Sell/Buy transactions, or is it still showing the incorrect information in your register? Was this a one-time issue when you transitioned from Direct Connect to Express Web Connect+, or has the issue persisted?

I look forward to your reply!

    Hello @Quicken Kristina,

I am managing 2 identical Quicken files except one has been reauthorized and therefore uses EWC+ and the other is still using the old DC connection method. When I detected this difference with handling a Roth conversion I manually fixed the EWC+ file. However, I'm maintaining a backup of the DC file so I can check if this issue is fixed in the future (I probably will not perform another Roth conversion this year). This issue occurred on a routine update a few days after the transition from DC to EWC+. I've checked and if I do another reauthorization using my backup, the same issue occurs on this one Roth conversion. Roth conversions performed prior to the transition were not impacted.

I'm working to debug a couple other issues I've noticed and question if this is the proper way to inform Quicken and/or Fidelity as I discover differences between the DC and EWC+. Please let me know if there is a better way to provide details.

BTW, I'm a retired SW/FPGA/ASIC Engineer who has extensive debugging experience, thus I use a very methodical approach so issues are repeatable.

This was the same for my Roth conversion as well. Remove/Add makes more sense than Sell/Buy when transferring shares instead of cash for a Roth conversion.

Just asking a question, If it's not recorded as a "Sell" how will Quicken recognize it as Income? Does the "Remove" action identify this as Income because it's from an IRA.

I haven't done a ROTH Conversion in several years, but I am not taking RMD's and a similar process question of bets ways to record an RMD exists. A couple of scenarios exist, like sell a position, and transfer it to a Brokerage and invest all proceeds and pay taxes from another account, or have taxes withheld from RMD and then transfer the Net RMD to another account. In either case the full RMD, just like the Full IRA to Roth conversion should be treated as taxable income. So, how does (more importantly) how should Quicken handle these IRA withdrawals (either under DC or EWC+).

I have done both Remove/Add in past on Conversion and Sell/withdrawal on RMDs and neither seems to report the correct Taxable Income?

Good question. Remove/Add is not recognized as income in Quicken. However, a Roth conversion of assets is more of a Transfer than a Sell/Buy. I manually keep track of Roth conversion. I know the amount I want to convert and use that amount as User Entered in the Tax Planner. A Transfer of Shares Between Accounts in Quicken performs a Remove/Add.

Looking for advice on updating to the latest QW version, this thread is crazy long, but I didn't see anyone who had switrched to express web connect+ that was happy. I'm still on version 62.16 (I don't trust Quicken updates if everything is working w/my current version) & still using zzz-Fidelty DC, with daily data file backups.

I'm moving to a new cloud PC and I can't find the 62.26 installer, does anyone think I should find a 62.26 download, or just install the latest version, stick with zzz-Fidelity DC & cross my fingers?

  • leishirsute

I run both a Fidelity DC and EWC+connected version of the datafile. I used the DC datafile to create a template copy and then reconnected all the accounts in the template copy including connecting Fidelity with EWC+. It's kind a doublecheck of accuracy between the working DC version and EWC+ version during the cutover period. It also showed me corrections I needed to make (or report as errors) in the EWC+ version to make it match the DC version balances while knowing the DC version was still around to get accurate results. I had to make some corrections to some 20 core Money Market Fund transactions in the EWC+ version. Now both the DC and EWC+ version match every day and I feel less stressed about cutting over.

This morning, October 1, 2025, I tried to download my Fidelity transactions for the end of the month/quarter dividend payments/reinvestments. So far, it's not downloading anything though I know I have many. Quicken is starting to become unreliable with all of this continuing issues. I've been using it for nearly 30 years and never had these problems. Don't get me started on the Cash balance thing. That's not even close to being correct.
