Quicken not handling Fidelity Cash Management Account cash positions correctly (QPIAQ, QPCTQ, QPIFQ)

This is a different issue from cash positions in brokerage accounts.

The Fidelity Cash Management Account uses 3 separate positions for cash as they are all swept to FDIC protected accounts. This means that I see three separate cash positions in my account: QPCTQ, QPIAQ, QPIFQ. With the new Fidelity EWC+ connection, I have reset the Money Market securities / cash options in the Online Services tab and received the prompt to set one as the cash position.

But Quicken does not seem to be able to handle three different cash positions, or Fidelity is not sending the data correctly. It appears to have marked QPIAQ as my cash position but every time I update I get placeholder transactions for the other two. This did not happen with the Fidelity direct connect solution.

Note that this account is also set to "Show cash in a checking account".

    Hello @jcloudm,

Thank you for letting us know you're seeing this issue. To clarify, are these funds that you're listing sweep funds?

You mentioned that Quicken doesn't seem to know how to handle having three different cash positions. To clarify, is it tracking one as cash and showing the other two as securities? Does it make any difference whether you unselect the "Show cash in a checking account" option or leave it selected?

I look forward to your response!

    Yes, these are sweep funds.

And yes, one is tracking as cash and the other two are as securities.

I am hesitant to change the 'show cash' option as I have 18 years of data including lots of transfers to and from this account.

Why the hesitancy? Take a backup (in case you don't like the results) and then TRY the "show cash" option.

It's what I use and I have data in the account also going back to 2007. It's my primary checking account.

I should clarify that I already do use that option - I am hesitant to uncheck that option just to try to fix this new Fidelity issue. I don’t believe Quicken would map all the transfers correctly.
