    Thank you for confirming @emhamiltn,

For the issue with FDRXX, do the instructions in the announcement linked below help resolve the issue, or is there no option to reset Reset Money market securities/cash options in the impacted accounts?

    Thank you!

    @Quicken Kristina

There's no option to reset cash representation in either of the two places noted in the link you provided.

I have Roth IRAs that were entered prior to the change of communication method and were added as Roth IRAs.

Now there is question in the account menu asking if i want to change the account to an IRA. It does not give the option of Roth IRA.

    Thank you.

You can change this later to Roth IRA by editing the account details.

Also something else odd occurred when I did an Update Transactions on the account to try to get the prices. I was left with a blank list of downloaded transactions:

    Screenshot 2025-10-14 095206.png

Only later on when going back into the account did some of the pieces of the list appear (still no transactions):

Normally when there are no downloaded transactions, Quicken seems to automatically hit the Done button to collapse this area.

The Fidelity website also has Monday's prices equal to Friday's. I think they took a holiday Monday and didn't price the funds. Quicken is off the hook!

@Quicken Kristina I tried OSU in my zzz DC file and updated with no 297-A error. 4:30 pm EDT 10/14. It downloaded two transactions into one of my fidelity accounts. It still asked to reauthorize fidelity accounts but the “remind my next time button” worked.

Thank you for your reply @emhamiltn,

You may not see the option due to the account type. Currently, the issue with FDRXX not being handled correctly is a known issue. We're working with Fidelity to resolve it, and it should be corrected in a future release.

    Thank you!

@Quicken Kristina thanks for confirming still a known issue, spent a few hours trying reset the "Cash Representation" with no change. Also still seeing Fidelity transactions come through with no information for fees, dividends and contributions - just a $ amount, no share count or prices. Lots of good progress to date, any timetable for getting the rest of these items resolved?

I was compelled to switch today too. After a "false start" (my error). I restored a backup from yesterday. Then logged onto Fidelity's website to compare my accounts against Quicken. I made sure the holdings matched in both 401ks compared to their accounts in Quicken. Then checked transactions to verify I had them all since my last statement. There were no pending ones.

After running OSU and flipping Fidelity to EWC+, I had a few dupes download. Since I had already verified I had everything updated before the switch, I figured they were all dupes. It also missed matching of one securities but I caught it this time and matched it. I deleted all of dupes, then went back and verified that my holdings still matched, they did. Now the total value of the accounts was slightly off. I noted a few comments above about downloaded prices. Generally, I don't worry about them being different as long as the # of shares are correct. The pricing usually matches after a few mores syncs. Time will tell.

Guess the good news is Fidelity was my last DC connection so I no longer need the password vault. One less password to remember. :)

I noticed the Password Vault thing as well, as I no longer have any DC connections either. I decided to delete the vault entirely earlier today (AFTER MAKING SURE I HAD A BACKUP IMMEDIATELY PRIOR TO DOING SO). So far so good! Tools » Password Vault » Delete Vault and all Saved Passwords.

Thank you for your reply @AAR,

Unfortunately, our teams do not provide ETAs. So that I can verify if the specific issues with missing/incomplete data you're encountering have been reported and are being worked on, please provide more details exactly what you are seeing. What kind of transactions are missing data (buy, sell, Div, etc.)? Are these transactions pending or posted on the financial institution website? If it's happening with pending transactions, does the correct/complete data download when they post?

    Thank you!

@Quicken Kristina in addition to still not seeing SoldX/BoughtX transactions for mutual fund transactions in my Cash Management account, transactions from my Fidelity VISA don't seem to be coming down either. This is clearly still a train wreck — and I've now been forced into EWC+ from DC. Even if it's possible to go back, I'd have to reenter about a week's worth of transactions.

Did my first post-EWC+ 401(k) rebalancing and the results sent to Quicken were quite a mess. The "sell" transactions SUBTRACTED cash from the account rather than adding it. And the "buy" transactions were not sent at all - instead I received "ExchangeIn" transactions which added the amount of cash used for the purchases (again backwards) but did not specify any security or shares to be purchased. As a result, the account was wildly out of balance afterwards.

I filed a problem report. Just sending this as a "heads up" for fellow rebalancers.

@Quicken Kristina I reported this issue when EWC+ was first pushed out, so not new. I uploaded two screenshots, first screenshot is what was downloaded and second screenshot is what I would normally receive as the download details using DC. Additionally this morning I noticed that after running OSU, every security showed incorrect price quotes with today's date throwing off all my balances. In some cases prices from 10/13 were repeated on 10/15 and other cases totally different. The 10/14 prices look correct. I am running a separate version of Quicken using DC and all the price quotes are correct.

Security share prices from OSU do not come from Fidelity or any brokerage. They should be correct, whether DC or EWC+ is used, correct?

  • EvDob
EvDob Quicken Windows Subscription Member ✭✭✭

The prices AAR is talking about are likely for non-public funds in a 401(k), which do come from Fidelity.

Fidelity also supplies prices for publicly traded securities that you hold there. The prices from Fidelity are sent when you downloaded transactions.

There is a hierarchy that determines which price gets recorded in Quicken. Quotes from the quote provider "win" over quotes from the FI. The price that is recorded depends on when the quotes are updated and whether you have selected the Real Time Quotes option (Premier and up only.)

I have 2 data files. I added two Fidelity Roth accounts to each on 3/28/2025. They are still using DC. Because of the myriad of issues with the Fidelity connection update to EWC+, I created a new file using it on 9/18 to determine if it was safe to update. It correctly downloaded all transaction.

Cash in all 3 accounts is correctly handled. In the EWC+ data file, Update Cash Balance has the “Cash Representation” box. The box is missing in the DC data files.

Each month, I reconcile all my accounts. Note that reconciliation only matches the account cash. The security or transaction type can be wrong. Occasionally, I have Security Comparison Mismatch pop-ups in Fidelity and Schwab accounts because of duplicate transactions or wrong securities. Most are easy to correct.

One Step Update downloaded about 30 transactions dated 10/17 to each Roth Account. In the DC-connected files, I noticed some Matching Security pop-ups for new securities had the “Yes, this matches …” box checked, but they were different. I decided to match all the securities by downloading the portfolio from the Fidelity website and comparing it to the Quicken Portfolio Value report from the 3 data files in Excel.

In the DC files, I found FCOM was downloaded as Unidentified, FDIS as FCOM, FXI as IAU, GM as GIS, IYT as ITA, and URI as UPS. Likely, these are those I accepted, as usually the check box is correctly selected. The EWC+ data file didn’t have these errors. After every OSU, I get a pop-up saying securities match. I no longer trust it or the “Compare to Portfolio” button in the Holding tab of the Online center in Tools.

I am still prompted to update to EWC+, but I have the option to procrastinate. Even though it appears to be ok for me, I’m going to wait until I’m forced to update.

Thank you for everyone's responses. The issue we are having is we are still getting generic downloads with no information. The example I attached, all we got was "fees" nothing else. Using DC, we would get the security name, price quote and number of shares equal to the fee amount. What I had to do was login to Fidelity Netbenefits and manually enter that information into Quicken. Using DC, would have just been a matter of accepting the transaction, no other steps.

@AAR This is not new and the situation for Fidelity Netbenefits 401(k)/403(b) account transaction downloads has been like this since EWC+ migration end of July, despite regular Quicken and Fidelity addressed error reporting. I would not hold my breath.

As new stocks are added to my ROTH accounts they default to "Download Quotes" in the Security List.

Of course these prices would not be accurate until after (1pm PT/4pm ET) when market closes. I usually wait until about 1:30pm PT and over 100 securities are updated during that OSU.

Ok, the Fidelity VISA transactions came down — a day later than they would have under DC, it seems.

But I'm still seeing nada for Cash Management SoldX/BoughtX transactions for the underlying money market mutual fund (this mutual fund is NOT the core position — I always move all the cash into a higher performing fund that gets automatically liquidated for withdrawals). It's almost as if EWC+ is deciding that the money market mutual fund IS the core position and treating it as cash. That's simply incorrect — and definitely doesn't match the transactions seen on Fidelity's portal.

To what some others have remarked, I can't figure out why I see the the ability to "Reset Money Market securities/cash options" on some Fidelity accounts but not others.

I have several accounts that have not given me the choice to remove shares and instead have a cash Balance. These include an IRA and a brokerage account. One i believe is correct as FCASH, several are money markets FDRXX, FZFXX, SPAXX.

I would appreciate any guidance. Thank you.

If Real time quotes is not selected, the prices from the quote provider for stocks and ETFs will update during the day with about a 15 minute delay. No prices for the current day will be downloaded until the markets open. To get closing prices, you must wait until at least 4:15 Eastern time.

If Real time quotes is selected, Quicken will download prices from before and after market trading, and there is less delay during trading hours.

Publicly traded mutual fund prices only update after the market closes, and the updates are usually complete by about 7:30pm Eastern time.

    Hi Ray. 2 questions:

ONE: You say you have 2 data files. Will you be able to some how merge the "right" content to get back to using just one file once all this settles? How would you do that? (I have 47 accounts in one Q file [7 at Fidelity], 22 boxes checked on 'One Step Update Settings', and transaction history back to 1998.

TWO: What does the prompt to update to EWC+ look like? I've only seen prompts (a couple weeks ago) to "Reauthorize" which created a mess in my Qfile, but I think I have it squared away. What prompt should I be watching for so I can also choose to procrastinate on it?

I think we just need to wait for Quicken and/or Fidelity to fix this. I believe Quicken knows that it doesn't give a choice for FDRXX.

I do not have "Real Time" selected and I do get end of day prices after Market Closes.
