DODGX split 16:1 on Oct 27. Friday split, Monday new price quote. However Quicken has decided that the price split now occurs on every friday for the past year and accurate price reset on each Monday so my graph looks saw toothed. Oct 27 and onward is fine. Price rebuild does not work regardless of what feature box is unchecked. any ideas. Quicken help says its Vanguards fault [of course]

    Hello @msgchef,

Thank you for letting us know you're seeing this issue. To help troubleshoot, please provide more information. Do you have the ticket number from when you contacted Support handy? When I tried to look it up, it looks like you may have accidentally contacted Quicken Simplifi Support instead of Quicken Classic Support. When I tried to replicate what you describe, I do notice that it shows history for every Friday prior to the stock split, but since I didn't have DODGX in my Quicken prior to today, I don't have any basis to compare it to.

Is what I'm seeing (in the screenshot above) the same as what you see in your Quicken? If not, if you're willing, please share a screenshot of what you're seeing. If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.

I look forward to your reply!

thanks for helping. the stock split occurred on 10/27, but as the second screen shows, the new price is seen all the way back to 10/3. The first screen shows the friday to monday price fluctuations.

    Thank you for your reply,

For further assistance, I recommend contacting Quicken Support directly, since they have access to tools we can't access on the Community, and they're able to escalate the issue as needed. The Quicken Support phone number can be found through this link here. Phone support is available from 5:00 am PT to 5:00 pm PT, Monday through Friday.

I apologize that I could not be of more assistance!

I have a similar problem with three Dodge and Cox securities. In addition to the above mentioned problem, the security prices for the split stocks in the month prior to the split are all calculated based on the after-split price. So the prices are incorrect the entire month prior to the split as well as each weekend for the year prior. I contacted support who couldn't help beyond submitting a report. I also reported the issue via the "Report a problem" on the Quicken app. (BTW, I only enter transactions manually rather than downloading transactions.) Deleting and re-entering transaction didn't change anything.

I suspect if you go back further you'll find an incorrect price at the end of each month for the 4 years prior to the weekly incorrect prices. That's the pricing info you normally get from Quicken when setting up a new security - each business day for the last month, then each Friday for the 11 months prior to that, then the last business day of the month for the 48 months prior to that. I don't know why it would re-download all of that after a split, especially when the split-adjusted prices are not what you want for securities you held prior to the split.
