Fidelity checking account - bill and income reminders tab does not always show
In Quicken Deluxe for at least a year, I have found that sometimes the bill and income reminders tab does not appear for my Fidelity cash management checking account. If I close Quicken and then reopen the file, most of the time the reminders tab (next to the downloads tab) does appear. This never happens with any credit cards, nor with any other checking account. Any thoughts on this?

Hello @alan14,
Thank you for sharing your experience and reporting the issues you are having.
I have some follow-up questions for you.
- Were there any significant changes when this first started happening?
- Like computer updates, Quicken updates, etc.
- Where is your data file located?
- Is your file being synced/backed up by any third-party services like OneDrive, Dropbox, or Carbonite?
Additionally, screenshots of what you are seeing might be helpful. If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.
Looking forward to your response.

Quicken Alyssa,
Regarding your followup questions:
I don't recall specifically if there were any computer changes at the time this started. The only changes would be standard Windows 11 updates, or Dell PC updates.
The Quicken data file is in its own directory with the other associated files on a separate hard drive which does not contain the operating system.
The Quicken file is not being backed up by any third party service. Right now I cannot attach a screen shot showing the missing bill reminders as it is not missing.

An update - This morning the reminders tab was not showing for the first time in many days. I was going to take a photo of it to upload but I instead updated Quicken to version 65.29, Build 27.1.65.29 Then the reminders tab was back. Perhaps that gives you some insight as to what is going on. I will post a screen shot when this occurs again.

This has been a similar issue with my Fidelity linked cash account for years in Quicken. I've reported it a couple of times and it is never addressed. The Bill and Income Reminders tab shows correctly for the investment accounts but sometimes disappears for the linked checking account.

Thank you for your replies,
To clarify, is this happening in a linked checking account, like what @leishirsute is reporting?
Hello @leishirsute,
Thank you for letting us know you're seeing a similar issue. Have you noticed any pattern to when the Bill and Income Reminders tab appears/disappears? For example, does closing and reopening Quicken make it reappear? Is it more prone to vanishing after running One Step Update? If possible, please post a screenshot of the issue.
I look forward to your reply!

Yes, the issue is with a linked checking account - which seems the same thing the other poster is mentioning. Sometimes opening and closing quicken helps but more often not. But on another day, even the following day, it often works perfectly.

Thank you for clarifying,
Does this happen exclusively with linked checking accounts with Fidelity, or does this issue randomly happen with any linked checking account, regardless of the financial institution it's connected to?
Thank you!

I have a linked checking account with Vanguard - never had an issue, although I don't pay bills from that account. I will keep an eye on it to see if the reminders tab ever disappears. My regular checking accounts never display this 'disappearing' act.

@Quicken Kristina For me, the tab seems to disappear when transactions show as downloaded, and reappears when all downloaded transactions have been accepted or rejected and Quicken is restarted and there are no new transactions downloaded to the account i.e. the tab usually shows when no downloaded transactions are pending. I've only noticed the issue for my only linked cash account which happens to be a Fidelity account.
It looks there are several recent discussions about this issue if searching for the term "reminders".

Further on this topic, today my Bill and Reminders tab did not appear, even though there are items pending. I then closed Quicken and reopened it. Voila! The tab reappears. See photos attached. Alan
