New computer
I have a new computer-windows 11. I do not want to use microsoft and pay the charges. How do I download Quicken and keep the old microsoft or do I need to use google browser? If I do that then I lose my old microsoft (which is no longer supported). Can I make it with LibreOffice instead and how do I download my Quicken to the new computer. Everything is saved from old computer.

Hello @LobsterLA,
Thank you for reaching out! You should be able to download Quicken using any compatible web browser. For instructions on how to download and install Quicken, please see this article:
For more information on moving your Quicken file(s) from the old computer to the new one, please review this article:
I'm not quite certain what you meant when you asked about being able to keep your old Microsoft. Are you referring to Microsoft's no longer supported web browser, Internet Explorer? If that is what you're referring to, Quicken wouldn't force you to remove that browser from your computer.
If you're uncertain about whether Quicken will work on your computer, please review this article on Quicken's system requirements:
What are you asking about making with LibreOffice? I have both LibreOffice and Quicken on my personal computer, and have had no issues.
I hope this helps!

Thank you for your reply,
If you want to keep your computer in S mode, then you are limited to downloading the apps which are available through Microsoft's own app store. For more information about S mode, please review this link:
Unfortunately, Quicken is not available in Microsoft's app store, and is therefore not compatible with S mode. For more information, see our article on Quicken's system requirements:
Thank you!

I don't understand what Windows in S mode means-only runs apps from the microsoft store. I'm afraid to switch out and mess something up permanently [Edited - Language]

Thank you for your reply,
Microsoft has their own App Store. When in S mode, that App Store is the only way you'll be able to install programs on your computer. If it's not in the store, the computer won't let you install it. It is theoretically safer, since apps in the Microsoft App Store have been reviewed by Microsoft. However, taking your computer out of S mode so that you can install programs which aren't in their App Store will not mess anything up, provided that you make certain to download from trusted sources.
Thank you!
