Scheduled Update Doesn't work

When I am in Quicken I can do a a manual one step update without a problem. I recently tried to turn on scheduled update. When it runs it asks for my update password. It always says the password is invalid. I even tried changing the update password and it still fails. I searched and in 2023 someone was having a similar problem (see online update password does not work during scheduled updated by I think someone named redbob).. I changed my password and it still fails. I use special characters in my password- is this a problem?

    Hello @marcsfuller,

Thank you for letting us know you're encountering this issue. To clarify, are you encountering this issue with your password vault password, or are you trying to enter a financial institution password when you get that prompt?

According to our help article on scheduled updates, any accounts that require a password to update (that would be any accounts connected via Direct Connect in your Quicken file) must have that password stored in the password vault. For more information on the password vault, please review this article: https://info.quicken.com/win/how-do-i-work-with-the-password-vault-and-stored-p

I look forward to your response!

This is a problem with my vault password. All my financial accounts update fine from within Quicken.

I have not forgotten the password for my vault. In Quicken I type it in and all my accounts update fine. When the automatic update requests it I type the same thing and it tells me the password is invalid. If you do a search in 2023 someone encountered the same problem. I did not see a solution in that discussion that works for me. See the following:

Ah, sorry for the misunderstanding. I wish I could be of assistance on this matter but I do not schedule OSU updates so I don't have any insight into what might be causing the issue.
