How can I get my account summary (list of accounts on left) to accurately reflect my register balanc

The amounts in my accounts on the left hand side of my screen to not match my register. My register is correct and reconciled. This makes me nuts. How do I fix this?

    Check your Settings > Sidebar to see if it is set for Displayed Balances = Today's Balance. If you have it set to Projected or Online Balance, the amount in the sidebar will not match your register.
