Barclays Credit Card - Account Access and Download
Started last week… Got connection / download error when doing One Step Update for my Barclays Credit Card account. Tried to fix it / reactivate and it takes me to login screen and when I enter userid and password, I get the CC-503 error that says my login ID and / or password are incorrect. I logged on manually to the Barclays site with my credentials successfully and can manually download into Quicken my transactions, but still can't re-set up Web Connect. Tried changing userid and password on Barclays site and then using that in Quicken, but same errors. Something tells me that it's an issue on the Barclays end but nothing communicated. Help? Thanks!

Thank you for letting us know you're seeing this issue. To troubleshoot, since you've already done many of the recommended steps, please backup your file and follow these steps from our article on CC-503 errors:
Try Deactivating and Reactivating the affected accounts:
- Choose Tools > Account List.
- Click the Edit button next to the account you want to change the login ID for.
- In the Account Details window, click the Online Services tab.
- Click Deactivate, and then click Yes to deactivate online services.
- Click Yes again, if necessary, to confirm your choice.
- Repeat these steps to deactivate all accounts at this same bank.
- Navigate to Tools>Add Account.
- Select the financial institution and follow the on-screen prompts to activate your account.
- Make sure to carefully link the accounts to the correct nickname in Quicken.

Thanks. This didn't work. When I go to add the account, it takes me to the logonid and password pop up screen and I know I enter the right credentials and I get the same error.

Since troubleshooting did not resolve the issue, I recommend contacting Quicken Support directly for assistance. They have tools we can't access in the Community, and they can escalate the issue as needed. The Quicken Support phone number can be found through this link here. Phone support is available from 5:00 am PT to 5:00 pm PT, Monday through Friday.

I'm experiencing the same issue with Barclay Wyndham card and Barclay Barnes & Noble card and have tried the suggested remedies. Can you alert tech support because this is affecting more than one person? I REALLY don't want to have to call your tech support if there's another option. Thank you.

Barclay's Wyndham downloaded 1 transaction today from 4/5. Barclays Barnes & Noble downloaded some kind of "adjustment" transaction which I've never seen before. FYI.

Thank you for letting us know you're encountering issues with your Barclays accounts. To help troubleshoot, I checked our internal tools. I'm not seeing any error messages/codes on our end. Are you seeing the CC-503 error that the original poster reported? If not, please provide more details exactly what is happening when you try to add/update your Barclays accounts.

My AAdvantage Mastercard, issued by BarclayBank Delaware, was transferred to Citibank today.
So this morning's attempted download failed, and when I tried to login directly to the website, that failed also. I had no other accounts at Barclays.
Per prior notices, I just need to wait until 4/27 or so before I can establish an online account with Citi … but in the meantime, the card still works.
Q user since February, 1990. DOS Version 4
Now running Quicken Windows Subscription, Business & Personal
