Brain Glitch...

As we welcome the month of May, we'd like ask you—

What’s a completely normal thing your brain just refuses to do correctly?

For me: the second I set something down (anything), it immediately stops existing. Cue me looking for it 2 seconds later like it vanished into another dimension.

How about you? Be honest… we all have one 😅

Literally remembering anything at all. LOL, I always joke that I have the memory of a goldfish. 😄

I attribute this to having high stress at times and just a lot going on in general. So I think my brain just discards most everything once it reaches whatever it considers the day's max capacity.

Some days are easier than others. 😁 I probably remember more than I give myself credit for.

I guess I'd call it "creative hearing". For whatever reason, when I don't quite catch what someone is saying, my brain will fill in the blanks with the most ridiculous/silly things possible.

Sports! I am very active in multiple sports. But as a spectator tho I may enjoy the event, I won't remember any player, team, season, schedules, score, rules … pretty much zero. My brain is just not wired to remember them. The silver lining is that I don't have to worry about missing any sporting events.

Use to think in younger days, most folks are trustworthy 😇 Then, BINGO, burned a few times. Backed off that thought pattern a bit. Now, in my so-called Golden Years; this ole brain of mine thinks: difficult to trust anyone now days. Everyone has an angle, got to figure it out for my own good. So thinking I need to get my ole brain a bit more normal, trusting folks just a tab more; but, "Not Too Much? 🤔 😉

Listening when someone tell me their name...

No matter how much I tell myself that NEXT time, when someone tells me their name, I need to listen and remember it. It does no good. Every time I meet someone, we shake hands, they tell me their name, and it goes in one ear and out the other. ARRGH!

@MHSwizzleStick That is definitely a problem I've been guilty of as well! 😅

For me, it’s remembering why I walked into a room. I’ll be halfway across the house with full confidence, then just stand there like, “So… what was the mission again?” 😅

For me, its walking up to the microwave oven to heat a cup of water (something I normally do every day) and having my mind go blank on how to set the microwave. It's a sign of age.
