From C. D. Bales:
"In the past this always happened."
But not by magic.
When you have the Quicken Preference to "Automatically memorize new payees"turned on when you Write a check and key the payee address, Quicken will memorize the payee into the Memorized Payee List ... and the payee address into the Quicken Address Book.
If you did not have "Automatically memorize new payees" turned on when you wrote the first check to a specific payee; you can go to Tools > Address Book, choose "New", key the payee name and address, and check the box to "Include this payee in QuickFill list". The next time you Write a check to that payee, that payee's address will be included on the check.
[You also need the Quicken Preferences to "Complete fields using previous entries", "Recall memorized [payees ....", and "Add Address Book QuickFill items to Memorized Payee List" to be checked.]
