So to clarify, QWin and QMac use completely different and incompatible databases, so you cannot interchange files BUT since you have a subscription membership, one membership gives you access to BOTH QWin and QMac and it can be installed on as many computers as you like, as long as you are using the same Quicken ID and password.
Be aware that there are caveats to this approach.
Since there is only one Quicken ID per Quicken Account, only one credit score, Zillow score, and other data are available via the Quicken Cloud.
Only one e-mail or phone number can be used for Multi-factor authentication in order to login to Quicken.
Anyone with access to the Quicken ID has access to any/all your personal info that is available via My Account on Quicken.com, where they could update the password, billing information, etc.
Any data file with the same Quicken ID can access any cloud data from any other data file tied to the Quicken ID (relevant for mobile sync and EWC aggregation). (It is unclear whether having a file password could prevent that.)
In short, if there are multiple users involved in sharing the same Quicken ID (typical in the same household) be mindful with whom you are sharing your Quicken ID and password.
With the current Subscription model - you can have as many as you want within your household - and both Windows and Mac can be used.
Once you purchase the current Subscription version, and create your Quicken User ID - you will have access on the Quicken website to download both the Windows and Mac versions...
No problem on sharing data. Different projects. The problem is somewhere along the way Quicken is renewing her license in January and mine in March, thereby we paid $49.xx twice.
