How to get subtotals in reports?

@Quicken Anja There is an existing idea thread for subtotals in reports, but someone has marked it implemented, and users can no longer vote for it. This is erroneous. The ideas requested in that post and thread have not been implemented. Only one small piece referenced in the "implemented" note was implemented, but that does not meet the request. Can you change the status of that post so users can add to it? Or are you saying we must start over from scratch to request what has been requested for five years? Thank you.Quicken Mac Subscription • Quicken user since 19931

There is no way to specify subtotals in a Quicken Mac report. It will automatically subtotal by whatever you've specified for your rows (e.g. categories, payees or tags), but you can't specify a secondary subtotal (e.g. tags within categories).Quicken Mac Subscription • Quicken user since 19930

Reporting 101: Detailed reports should allow the user to specify the data fields to subtotal - one or more. At a minimum, this should include Category, Account, Payee, Tag.1

Hello @rekgeneral,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community with your question.
If the current subtotal abilities as mentioned by jacobs aren't quite what you are looking for, then what you can do is create an idea post and add your vote. This way other users who have the same or a similar request can vote on your idea.
Our Development and Product teams frequently use our idea posts in order to improve Quicken and implement new features requested by customers.
I hope this helps!
