I'm new to Quicken and find it much easier to learn if I have a reference book available rather than searching the net for answers.

Unfortunately, there is no such book. Even the Quicken Windows book has not been updated in several years, and there has never been a Quicken Mac book.

Take note of the mention of the Quicken 1-2-3, a program where new users can set up a one-hour one-on-one phone/web sessions with a Quicken Support representative to help get you acquainted with Quicken Mac and answer questions you may have.
