My personal account is just that, a subscription I have for my personal use.

The other account is from a subscription maintained by a non profit where I am the treasurer. These issues stem from that account and the difficulty downloading a handful of simple paypal deposits and matching fee payments. It really is very simple, just a checking account and a paypal account.

Thanks for providing an explanation for why you have two subscriptions but that wasn't really the question asked.

Lets not get this thread distracted - again - from the issue at hand. PayPal downloads are not working since the January update. That's the issue.

I am having the identical problem Don and am now confused on why it's inappropriate to find an answer to this. I have reported this to Quicken twice now, been on the phone four times with PayPal, and everything points to the January software update. So add me to the list of, now noisy, users on this forum with the same problem, looking for anyone who has a solution. About to give up and quit Quicken Premium if it's this hard for them to fix a simple problem. Does anyone know a way to get go back to a previous revision of Quicken, a pre-January 10th version?

By the way, the last time the PayPal Transaction Fee was downloaded correctly for me as a separate transaction was January 10th. On Jan 11th and all subsequent sales, the "Fee Amount" secondary transaction has been missing.

I am just chiming in that I am having this issue as well. I have contacted support, but we shall see how long it will take to fix it.

I have been experiencing the same issue. I spoke with a Quicken support specialist today and he said that they are aware of this problem and are working on it.

I received an alert that the PayPal download issued had been marked resolved. The alert was dated 3/23, however, nothing has changed on my PayPal downloads, I am still having the problem! Does anyone else still have the issue and do we know if Quicken is pushing out the fix in an update that I may not have gotten yet?

    Hello @Rick11,

Thank you for following up, though I apologize that the issue continues to persist for you.

Since you are still experiencing issues after the Alert has been resolved, we request that you please contact Quicken Support directly for further assistance. Our support agents will need to review your log files and file an escalation if they see fit.

    Thank you!

How can the PayPal fee issue be marked as resolved?

I am having this problem after a recent update. I just called Quicken. We reinstalled PayPal and it worked - until I restored my original data.

When I tried the update, it said PayPal (retired) on the screen. Now this has disappeared.

"When I tried the update, it said PayPal (retired) on the screen. Now this has disappeared."

"Paypal (retired)" disappeared. He is referring to a question that numerous users had about a strange notation next to Paypal in the downloads window. That notation is now gone, as @KSSkyscrapers noted

@Quicken Anja - Thank you for your response. Can you tell me how the fix was resolved without a Quicken update being released?

The good news is, this is indeed fixed. The bad news is, get ready to see PayPal fees downloaded back to the beginning of March. Not a complaint, just a comment. I'm glad its fixed.

I can also report the fee is downloading again for me too. As for you, I got all the fees for the last 30 days (which I had entered manually already, but no big deal).

Also, i get the payment transactions faster now. Since 1/11/2022 the balance was updating correctly but the transactions would only downloads the next day (and no fee downloaded), now it is back to normal: I just got two payments 15 and 90 minutes ago and when updating I got the payments right away (and its associated fees also).

Thanks to Quicken to have fix it. [Removed - Speculation/Inaccurate]
We, the users, do understand that problems happen, especially when it involved a third party (PayPal), but it should be handled professionally. If you respect us we will respect you in return.

Quicken did not fix the issue.  The issue was eventually addressed by Intuit's Express Web Connect scripting team.  I don't see any moderator posts in this discussion that justify your criticism.

The initial post on this issue was CLOSED by a mod without explanation and without solution. [Removed - Speculation/Inaccurate]

I didn't realize that as I have only been downloading in the morning since this issue started. Thanks for pointing that out!

Quicken is the company we are paying for the service, The fact that Quicken subcontracts Intuit for Web Connect is none of our concern as end users.

Quicken should take responsibility with that. [Removed - Speculation/Inaccurate]

The proper answer should have been something like "We know there is a problem in Quicken with Web Express to PayPal we acknowledge it and will work on it as fast as possible with our partner Intuit".

The same happened on the online balance issue (https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7906707/online-balance-incorrect) that started at the same time. Again, maybe an Intuit issue, but we are not paying them

Yup, mine is fixed also. Yay! Same as everyone else it appears. Everything from March 1 was uploaded so I had to go in and make some adjustments. But all appears back to normal which I am very grateful for.

Quicken does not subcontract Intuit for Web Connect but, regarding the use of third-party services, I do think, as end users, it should be of our concern.   For example, you've chosen to use PayPal even though PayPal has chosen to only support the unreliable Express Web Connect connection method and fails to coordinate their web site updates adequately with Intuit.

I have not noted any moderators blaming Intuit.

Regarding the online balance issue discussion, I don't see any moderators blaming Intuit.
