I lost my Q window file, but luckily created a web Q file on the cloud. When I am on my Q web file, I would like to re-create a Q window file and I am told that it is impossible. Have you thought of satisfying my need in a new version of the product? Please answer me before I leave quicken and change product. . .

Best of luck with your request, but I don't see it happening in the near future. I'm guessing you have learned a hard lesson by not making backups of your Quicken data file to some removable media.

Backups are like friends, make lots of them.

    Hello @Ligne Boissonneault,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and telling us about this issue.  I'm sorry to hear you're running into this problem. The support person you spoke to was correct; the Quicken cloud allows you to synchronize between the desktop program and Quicken on the Web & the mobile apps, but it is not a backup service and can't be used to recover a lost file.

If you wish to request that functionality be changed, we do have an ideas section of the Community, where you can submit your request and vote on existing requests. This FAQ provides more information on how to do that. Ideas that receive enough votes may be implemented in a future release of Quicken.

How did your Quicken file get lost? Do you have any recent backups your can restore? Have you tried searching for your file in your Quicken program by going to File>Find Quicken Files…?

    Thank you.
