Ally CC-501
One of my Ally accounts, the one I use the most stopped connecting on Quicken, Oops CC-501 error. I tried to reset another account that was still connecting and now that one will not connect. This is all since the last update Version R53.16. I have no issues logging in on Ally. Windows 10, everything is up to date.

Hello @DianaSamalot,
This error is usually caused on the bank’s end and means that the Quicken server is being blocked from connecting to the account. Typically these errors self-resolve within 24 hours. If you haven't already, we recommend reviewing this support article for more information.
As stated in the article, if the error persists for more than 24 hours, then you will need to contact Quicken Support directly for further assistance. Our support agents will need to collect and review your log files, and will likely need to file an escalation if they see fit.

This is not helpful at all.
I've had this issue for approximately 5 days, I'd say since the last Quicken update (R53.16). It appears to have affected two of the four accounts I have on Ally. How is it that it connects to two accounts but not the other two?
On a different but similar note, I have not been able to add PNC card account for about 3-4 weeks. The sign-in window goes around in circles after authorization until it times out because it takes too long. I have excellent internet, by the way, I know it's not slow internet.
I attempted to contact Quicken support (Assist and chat), but nothing went through.

As additional information, my main Ally account stopped updating on 11/20/23. That's well over the 24 hours this error should occur. As of today, I am still unable to connect yet, I can log in to Ally without any issues. I really hope that this is fixed very soon.

I have the same problem. I can access my Ally Bank information via the website directly using either my computer or my iPhone. But I can not access it via Quicken. Quicken clearly has a problem communicating with Ally Bank.

I'm hoping the next update fixes this because it all started after the November update.

For the last week I've gotten CC-501 error messages when I try to add accounts for new CD's I purchased over the weekend. The other CD's and a savings account update normally. The error notice suggesting that I should try again in a few hours is getting really irritating.

This is ridiculous. I have not been able to connect to Ally via Quicken since November 20th, 2023. I've had to update manually which defeats the whole purpose of having the software. And, I just paid my Quicken annual membership which I felt was a waste of money the way Quicken has been. Quicken had an update yesterday that I hoped would solve the issue but made it worse!!! I have never been so unhappy with Quicken before. There has been NO follow-up on their end, I don't think they care. I'm hoping someone from Quicken will read this and actually CARE!!!

I have not been able to connect to Ally for a month now. When I try to contact support, the buttons don't work, I cannot log in to chat or contact support directly. I've had to download transactions manually. This month I paid my annual subscription begrudgingly because I've been very unhappy with Quicken and the poor support given to its subscribers.
PLEASE, please, please take this issue to the next level, since I can't.Thank you!

Hello @DianaSamalot,
Which browser are you using when trying to contact Support? Do you have any popup blocker active?
Also, when I check on the server side, I see you are getting a CC-503 error now when trying to connect to Ally Bank. If you haven't done so already, please follow the troubleshooting steps in this article.
I hope this helps!

Hello @Quicken Kristina
I didn't think about the pop-up blockers, thank you for that. I'm not getting a CC-503 error, only 501. I have no issues logging into Ally from my browser.
I'm chatting with Quicken right now. Hopefully, it'll help.

Any updates on this? I'm getting the same error. Not inspiring when Quicken just announced subscription price increase. :-(

For me the issue eventually got resolved after over a month. I chatted with one of the Quicken's associates and there was nothing I could do. Everything appeared to be working ok until a few days ago when only one of the 4 accounts I have with Ally stopped connecting with Quicken. It's very frustrating. I hope that yours gets resolved soon, and mine too.
