I always wanted to ask that question - why does the Quicken splash screen show the Fidelity Investments logo? I thought Quicken was independent now.

Quicken is independent but they are also a business and apparently they do sell a little "advertising" space. Sometimes I see Fidelity Investments. Sometimes I see Wells Fargo. Sometimes I see some other financial institution. But I've noticed that they are all financial institutions that I am connected to in Quicken. I've often wondered why that is. And I've wondered if everyone sees the same financial institutions at the same time that I do or if they see something else.

I really wonder if they (Quicken Inc) gets anything from this anymore. I know Intuit did, but I wouldn't even be surprised that if the financial institution is paying anything for this, they are still paying Intuit not Quicken Inc (Quicken Inc is paying Intuit for "Connection Services").

I wouldn't really be surprised that it is just there because it is easier to not change it than to go in and change it.

There are no such ads that I'm aware of in Quicken Mac. (There's not even a splash screen!)

Interesting. I've used Windows Quicken Classic for over 20 years and am currently on the latest update. I've never see a splash screen as mentioned in this thread. I am on Windows Quicken Classic Premiere. FYI.

Many years ago, I purchased Quicken at a discount through a link in my Fidelity account. That version of Quicken showed a splash screen with both the Quicken and Fidelity logos.

I have seen it from time to time over the years. It really depends on which financial institutions you have used. And people might have missed it, but besides the splash screen sometimes there is the financial institution's logo in the Online Center.
