investment account not being able to get a complete report
I have an investment account that in quicken has two parts. A banking part to write checks and an investment part for stocks. the issue I have is I cannot generate a report using both sides of the account. I can get the banking transactions and or the investment transactions but not both in one report that allows me to customize by month by category or by income or expense.

Hello @James Koski
To request this feature to be added in the future, what you can do is create an idea post. This way other users who have the same or a similar request can vote on your idea.
Our Development and Product teams frequently use our idea posts in order to improve Quicken and implement new features requested by customers.
I hope this helps!

@James Koski The banking transaction report defaults to only 'cash' spending account. It can be customized to include investment accounts if you choose to. That may or may not be helpful to you depending on what you are seeking from the report.
The Investment transaction report is limited to investment accounts.
Your post is not clear if the data and structure download as two separate accounts, as if they are two separate accounts in the real world, or if you are making use of Quicken's feature for investing accounts to "show cash in a checking account". That is a selectable option on the investment account details page. Taking that option creates a virtual (not real world) checking account for all cash associated with the investment account. You may be able to toggle that option on and off, but of you do so, have a good backup on hand just in case some problem pops up. With the option off (No), the regular investment transactions report should include all cash aspects in addition to investment aspects.

You might try the Banking Transactions report, including both the investing account and the linked checking account. It will not include full details of your investing transactions, but may meet your needs.
Another option would be to make a copy of your data file, then in the copy click on the gear at the top right of the investing account and pick Edit account details and turn off the Show cash in a checking account option. This will move the cash transactions back into the investing account so you can use the Investing transactions report.
The copy will have online access disabled. Be sure to return to the original file when you are done.
