Withdraw (payment) being changed to Deposit (cash transaction in investment account)
In an investment account (that I also use for checking and bill pay), if I create a new entry and set the Action to "Withdraw" and then set the "Num" column to EFT or Venmo, Quicken immediately changes the action to "Deposit".
I can go back and undo this, but it would be better to avoid it in the first place.
If I set the "Num" column to a check number, it stays as Withdraw. If I set it to Reminder, it changes to Deposit.
Version R57.26 but this has been happening for some time now (took me a while to figure out exactly what was going on).

Are the checking/bill-pay txn in the Investment account itself … or in a separate "Linked Checking Account"? Sounds like the latter, but wanted to dbl-check.
Also, in what column are you placing the amount of the txn? What columns do you show to the right of the "Category" field?

This is in the Investment account itself, not a separate Linked Checking Account.
The problem occurs before I even enter an amount. To the right of the Category field is "Amount" field, that's it.

I was able to duplicate this in my test file. For me, once the Num field changes to Reminder it shows DEP and becomes none editable. It also changes the type of transaction to from Withdraw to Deposit. Then changing the type of transaction from Deposit to Withdraw changes the Num field entry back to Reminder.
It seems like this might be a bug. Unless someone can provide some evidence that this is not a bug, it should be reported to Quicken (via Help > Report a Problem) as a bug.

Can't confirm.
Try entering directly in the Register (without using the popup Editor)

OK, now I'm seeing that. But, I've also (via my prior response) shown you the way to avoid it until it gets fixed.

Yes, I should have mentioned that in my test file I was able to duplicate the issue but only when entering it directly into the register. I did not have the issue when using the Enter Transaction popup. So, it appears we are all seeing the same thing.
