Windows 10. Fully updated.
At the end of the month (July 31), I always download all closing portfolio stock, mutual fund and etf prices, usually after 7pm pacific time. Now because of the problem I describe below, I always check those downloaded prices in an excel sheet with the excel stock data type with the StockHistory function. I can instantly see discrepancies. This July 31st there were many. So I downloaded again on the evening of August 1st and there were still multiple discrepancies on the July 31 price.
Then today at 11 am I downloaded again this time all quicken prices on July 31 were consistent with the excel StockHistory function. I should add that I also checked the excel function price on July 31 and Aug 1 against my mutual fund and brokerage accounts as well as Yahoo finance. In all cases excel was consistent with them. Further when checked on different days, the prices were always the same, as they should be.
So why is quicken taking up to two days to get prices right? There is little transparency as to the source of those prices. When trying to reconcile quicken with my fund and brokerage accounts these discrepancies cause endless hours of figuring out the problem.
Can anyone shed light on this issue?
