Concerns About Wealthsimple and KOHO Connection & Missing Mac Features

Hi there,
I've been using Quicken since January 2024, and I love how it helps me keep track of my finances. However, I have a few concerns that I'd like to bring to your attention. Some of these have been mentioned by other users in the past but haven't been directly addressed yet.
I'm using the Quicken Deluxe Desktop App on my Mac, and here are my main concerns:
- Connecting to Wealthsimple: Wealthsimple is listed as an approved bank, but the connection process still requires a "Mint access token," which no longer exists since Mint shut down in 2023. This issue isn't on Wealthsimple's end (I've confirmed with them). This is an essential connection for me and many other Canadian users. Could you provide an update on how close Quicken is to resolving this?
- Connecting to KOHO: KOHO is my main spending account, and I've been manually entering transactions for the past few months due to ongoing connection issues. Initially, I set it up successfully, entering all the required information, and it connected without a problem. However, it suddenly stopped updating and now no longer connects, consistently returning error code (FDP-101). This has become quite inconvenient, and I'd appreciate any updates or solutions to this issue.
- Mac Features: Several features, like creating custom savings goals, rollover budgeting, and investing reports, are still unavailable for Mac users. I’ve used Quicken on Windows before, and these were crucial parts of my process. Can you let me know if these features are being worked on for Mac and if there’s an ETA?
- Projected Balances Using Bill & Income Features with Budget: Another feature that would be extremely useful is the ability to project balances using both the Bill & Income feature and the budget. This would give users a clear snapshot of what they are working towards. It's psychological and can improve usage rates if users can visually see their progress with graphs and such.
Thanks for your time—I look forward to your response!
Cheers,
Leya

Hello @Leya.V,
- Unfortunately, the login requirements and any other information sent does come directly from the Financial Institution and their servers, which Quicken does not have access to. If there is an incorrect process with logging into Wealthsimple, you will need to contact the financial institution directly and from there they can work with Quicken to resolve it.
- When Quicken's financial data platform (FDP) is unable to connect to your bank account for recent transaction information, you’ll receive a message with an FDP-101 in the program. This is usually caused on the bank’s end — Quicken is blocked from connecting to the account. You may follow this link to access a FAQ that provides more information. As per the FAQ: If you receive one of these errors, please wait 24 hours and then try again. If the issue still persists after this time period, please contact Quicken Support.
- There are currently many ideas located within the Quicken Community regarding providing Quicken for Mac with more equivalent features to that of Quicken for Windows. You may follow this link for an example of one. You can also browse our Mac ideas category for further ideas that you agree with and you can then add your vote too. Here is a link to the Mac ideas category.
- For this, I suggest that you create an idea post. This way other users who have the same or a similar request can vote on your idea. Our Development and Product teams frequently use our idea posts in order to improve Quicken and implement new features requested by customers.
I hope this helps!
