Major Bug Found in Calendar Displaying with Large Amounts Historical Data

Similar to others, I hit the large historical data wall with my calendar today. The calendar works fine with yesterday's file — add a single transaction to the register and it stops working.

Other users have hit the same limit with identical results. (search same discussion title)

The resolution appears to be delete (years of) historical data and the calendar will function.

Noting that tech support recommended marking historical transactions as "clear" so that each and every reconciled transaction doesn't need to be confirmed for deletion.

Penalty for being a decades long customer…

The referenced prior report of this issue:

It might be helpful to know if you are limiting the calendar to display only certain accounts and how many transactions you have in those calendar accounts.

If the transaction limit is an account transaction limit, you could use the new transaction archive feature to split off older transactions from the account. The archived transactions are not deleted, they remain in your file so you don’t lose any transactions.

    Which calendar are you using?

The calendar on the Bills & Income tab is a "limited" version that doesn't have ability to limit to a set of accounts or other such filters.

Please provide us with the following information:

    - Display the File Information view:
Click Help in the Menu Bar. Shift+click About Quicken and it'll give you a File Information box.
Please capture an image snapshot of this File Information box and attach it here.
The Windows Snipping Tool can be used to capture a partial screen image and save it to a file of file type PNG or JPG only. Black out the first box, User & ID information … we don't need to know that …
