    Hello @Carl D terry,

To assist with this issue, please provide more information. Are you using the update function from within the Quicken program, or are you manually downloading the update patch and installing it? What error are you seeing when you try to install it? If possible, please post a screenshot of the error you're seeing, with any personal information redacted. If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.

If you haven't tried installing the patch manually, please follow the instructions in this article to do so:

Please let me know how it goes!

I'm having the same problem, there are no screenshots to take. There are no details available. The only difference is, I have my own online backup with Microsoft.

I have same issue. When I try to download and install the update, I am told There has been an error and screen goes blank. Currently when I try to back up my file to my computer I am told no source file exists. Then I am told to turn off auto synch to cloud. I have turned off auto synch and get the same answer. Frustrating.

It sounds like your Quicken installation is corrupt. I'd unistall the Quicken program and re-install from scratch.

I am having the same problem. Tried the manual process with the same results. How does a file become corrupt?

Here is what I have done so far:

Validated and repaired my data file - still the same install error

Reinstalled Quicken Classic - still the same update install error.

    Has anyone found a workaround?

I've tried updating from r59.6 to both r59.10 and later to r59.18 both from within the running program and after downloading the manual patch files. I even completely uninstalled Quicken using Revo Uninstaller and then deleted the last vestiges of the Q folder under Program Files (x86). All four attempts resulted in the same worthless, uninformative screen shown above by Robbie Lee. The most annoying thing is that when I downloaded the full version to do a clean installation it reverted to r59.6. Why in the [Removed - Language] isn't the full version up to date? [Removed - Rant]

[Removed - Disruptive] Why don't you people just give us a link to an r59.18 full version installation file like a normal vendor?
