That was discontinued many years ago. Why are you just asking now about it? Did you upgrade Quicken or your computer? Or are you using the embedded Home Inventory program which file ends in .idb ? There are 2 different inventory programs. The Home Inventory Manager stand alone program QHIM has photos and the QHI embedded program does not. If you have a .idb file that is the embedded one. You can still install the Home Inventory program.

I am using Quicken classic premier and have used the embedded Home Inventory Manager (QHI) last updated 10/29/2024. It worked fine up until the R60.14 build this morning 11/9/24. Previous version was R60.12 (Non24) My subscription renews 1/7/2025 $95.88. Maybe I should reconsider renewing. If this is "so" old why is the button till on the toolbar?

If it was working before then it should still work. Look for the QHI.exe file and see if it's still on your computer. Or try installing it again. You might have to install the Inventory program so you have to find the install file and double click on it. The install file is QuickenHomeInventory.exe (and you should also have EmergencyRecordsOrganizer.exe). I have Quicken 2013 and when I moved Quicken to my new HP Desktop 64bit with Windows 8.1 - I found inventory in C:\Program Files (x86)\Quicken folder. After it was installed, I went back and found the actual program "QHI.exe" in the programs folder and I right clicked on it and sent a shortcut to my Desktop. The data file ends in .IDB. It should be in My Documents (or just Documents) in the Quicken folder. Or search for it.

I tried to continue with the embedded Quicken Inventory Manager, but it started behaving strangely in Windows 11 and couldn't tell if it is supported or not. I know that the export to Quicken feature in the QIM program caused all kinds of errors in Quicken.
After searching for replacement alternatives that are supported, I ended up purchasing Attic Manager, which can import the Quicken Inventory Manager database.
I had to get used to the interface but the Inventory Manager functional capabilities remain in Attic Manager, although I had to use exporting .csv to a spreadsheet for some reporting.
I'm sure there are other alternatives besides Attic Manager, including just using a spreadsheet.

I'm on R60.15 (BUsiness & Personal) and have tried installing the QuickenHomeInventory.exe and EmergencyRecordsOrganizer.exe but without success. I have submitted a support request, but admittedly, I missed the QHI retirement announcement. After installation of both, I don't see them in the available options to put into my toolbar.
I'm hoping the new apps will import the old inventory?

Did you change to Classic Menus in View?
Then see if Customize toolbar gives them as options.

The Home Inventory button is still on the Classic Menu but does not work?

When I used to use Inventory Manager, I created a desktop shortcut to access it, "C:\Program Files (x86)\Quicken\QHI.EXE"
I didn't access it from Quicken usually. To relink it to the Quicken menu again, it might take rerunning again the program below, but that's just a guess.
