Barclay recently changed their online access which has affected automatic updates in Quicken. Their customer service says it is up to Quicken to update software to be compatible with this revised access. Can Quicken notify us when we can update Barclay accounts again?

    Hello @Dan Neufeld,

I went ahead and merged your post with this existing Barclays thread.

Our teams are aware of the issue and are working with Barclays to resolve it. While this issue remains ongoing, please refer to this Community Alert for any and all updates as they will be posted within the Alert as they become available. However, we do not have an ETA available at this time.

We apologize for any inconvenience in the meantime! Thank you.

It's been 3 months and still no resolution in sight. Quicken, just admit it, this isn't a priority to resolve with Barclays.

Quicken Classic Version 8.0.0 (Build 800.56192.100) macOS 14.7.2

as has been posted … being able to download transactions has been an issue since Q4 2024.

My quicken is up-to-date. My online banking account is accessible by a browser. And still quicken has no clue … I have tried new account creation in quicken, updating existing account with connect for download. Very frustrating.

    Care Code FDP-102

Any Mac Quicken users get their account to start downloading again????

I try connecting to : Barclays Online Banking - US

I also upgraded to version 8, and my connection attempt continues to fail with FDP-102 / FI_TIMEOUT.

AFAIK, those bank connection details need to be fixed on quicken's server side and wouldn't be fixed in a client/desktop update.

Four months now. Okay, three days short of four months.

There were two or three updates back in November in the alert thread. While I appreciate there may be no new information to transmit, it would decent if Quicken would at least say something in that alert thread. Users who have been patiently waiting for four months now shouldn't have to go digging around in the forums to learn that the status is still "broken". An alert thread should be updated on a regular cadence. Again, it's the decent thing to do.

AGREED! This is ridiculous given how much the annual Quicken subscription fee is.

Quicken as well as Barclays have dropped the ball on this. They should just admit that they no longer want to support this connection. Barclays Online Banking should be removed from "Add Account". "We apologize for the inconvenience" is a meaningless apology by both corporations.

I've been transferring funds out of Barclays to other institutions that support a Quicken connection that actually works. There are other online banks offering the same or better savings rates.

Interestingly enough, after having Barclays not included in one-step update for a month or two, I again added my credentials in setting up a new connection, and it's now working for me. Quicken Classic Deluxe, R60.20, Windows 10.

That said, the most recent releases are annoying slow to open at startup. And, after having opened the app in order to get the revision details for above, it's now impossible for me to close the app. There's only a phantom red 'x' to close the 'about quicken' popup, and it's completely unresponsive. Had to kill the process.

    Sigh.

I reconnected choosing "barclaycardus" today and it synched. Hopefully problem solved. Disappointed that Quicken did not post that it had been fixed, since I reported it to them in October 2024.

It's still not fixed. It connects, but no transactions are being downloaded.

  • Hello All,

I have taken the time to review our internal ticket for this issue and I can see that my teams are still investigating this issue and working towards a resolution. There is no current ETA as to when the fix will be implemented but I can assure you that this issue is being taken care of and has not been forgotten.

Thank you for your continued patience and support.

    Hi Jasmine,

Quicken Mac Version 8.1.0 (Build 801.56843.100) and macOS 15.3.1

I connected to "barclaycardus". All of my Barclays Accounts showed up. It picked my Barclays Savings and CDs and linked them in Quicken Mac to the accounts that I already had in Quicken with no problem.

Savings account downloaded interest transaction showing the interest transaction that are transferred from the CD's each month. However the interest transaction (CD's paid monthly and transferred to the savings) did not download for those CD accounts in Quicken Mac.

Something seems to have changed this week, but finally in a good way. I have both a barclays CC and a savings account. Earlier this week I reconnected my savings account to "Barclays Account Delaware" and after it reconnected it also wanted to connect the CC account. Now there is a single connection for both of the accounts instead of previously needing two different connections.

🤞, but its been a few days of successful transaction downloads from both accounts without any errors.

Welcome!
