Can't use HSA account in paycheck

My HSA savings account is not a valid option in the HSA account field in my paycheck. The only thing I can think of is that it's because it's a savings account vs. cash?

    Hello @Michael Rosen,

I am attempting to replicate this, however so far, when I try it seems fine with me choosing a savings account.

Could you please provide the exact steps you are taking? Please also include screenshots if possible. If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.

    Thank you!

    Hi @Quicken Anja,

I am editing my paycheck, selecting edit on the HSA Pre-Tax Deduction.

The only account option for HSA is my HSA Brokerage account. The HSA account that I need to use is HSA Bank

I'm not sure why it says "Edit 401(k) Deduction," but I'm looking and now I remember that there is no HSA option under Pre-Tax Deductions.

I just tried adding an "Other Pre-Tax Deduction" and I was able to select the correct account.

    Thank you.

@Michael Rosen In your "Pre-Tax Deduction" graphic, we can't tell what the issue might be since you've completely blanked out 2 Category/Account fields.

BUT, I can tell you that both of those fields should contain Transfers, not Categories. A transfer is indicated by enclosing the target account name is Square brackets (e.g., [HSA]). If those brackets arent present, then the line item is to a category, and won't change the value of the actual HSA account (whatever you call it).

SO, without disclosing any account numbers, what's hidden?
