Do others have a problem pasting in text into the Report a problem dialog?

I have always noticed that they don't allow for entering new lines in that dialog, and found that to be a pain, but with the last problems I have been reporting I went to paste in a full description copied from this forum, and found that I could only copy in one line at a time, which makes it a pain and just encourages me to point to the Quicken forum post instead of having it all right there were the developer might see it all in one place.

I was able to copy & paste your post into the dialog with a single operation.

Quicken user since version 2 for DOS, now using QWin Premier (US) on Win10 Pro.

Thanks @Rocket J Squirrel. I think the problem might have been that I had newlines in the message I was posting. I thought I had taken them out, but I guess not.

I have had the same problem, both with typing and with copying and pasting into the Report a Problem description box. When typing, it appears to ignore the Enter key. When pasting a copy of a Discussion post, it converts line breaks into spaces. When pasting text copied from Notepad, Word or Google Docs, it stops the paste at each line break, so you must copy and paste one paragraph or one line at a time.

It would certainly be nice if that box accepted line breaks. I'm sure having everything mashed into one giant paragraph makes it hard for whoever is at the receiving end of these reports to read, too.

Mods: If this is not possible, is it just as good if we simply refer to a Community discussion?

BTW I have reported this via Report a Problem and I hope others will as well! In the report, I used a Category of "Others" and referred to this discussion.

This doesn’t seem to be a problem on Quicken Mac - I can enter line breaks and paste in multiple paragraphs.

@Jim_Harman good idea, I have reported it as a problem too.

    Hello All,

I forwarded this to the proper channels to be further investigated. Thank you for sending problem reports and for confirming that this behavior happens only in the Windows version of Quicken.

    We apologize for any inconvenience!

    Thank you.
