Add Additional Expand/Collapse Option in Portfolio View [Edited]

In portfolio view, the existing choices to "Expand All" and "Collapse All" should have an additional choice, which is to have an in-between. Specifically, collapse each securities' individual lot information while displaying each account and the securities within that account. As it is now, if I choose "Expand All", then I must manually collapse every security in every account to get back to a manageable view.

Please let me know if this is possible, or could be added as a new feature.

    Hello @rfore466,

Thank you. I could not figure out how to post an Idea on the site, and google searches all said there was no way to do it. Maybe make the feature more obvious to use?

@rfore466 Just to confirm: you're talking about Quicken Windows, right? Your post Idea post is currently in a Quicken Mac category, but your user information says you're using Quicken Windows. We can have a moderator move this to the appropriate Quicken Windows location if appropriate.

(Meanwhile, consider yourself lucky that you have at least some Expand/Collapse controls in the Portfolio, as Quicken Mac does not! 🤣)

Yes, I use Quicken Deluxe for Windows on my PC. Please move it to the appropriate category, and thanks for the prompt followup!

You are right there is no in-between expand/collapse button or feature.

But the lot detail is only available if the view is grouped by: Accounts. Therefore to get back to your manageable view more quickly from fully expanded, you can reset Group by to ‘Securities’ and then back to ‘Accounts’ to get the lot detail collapsed out.

Thanks for the creative work-around! I tried it, and it works. But it would still be a nice feature to have a separate bottom at the bottom, between Expand All and Collapse All.
