Mobile app not updating for investment activity

Investment mobile balance not updated for cash change when a new investment is made. Security investment amount is added, but the cash in the account is not reduced in the mobile app. I find that if I delete and replace the mobile file, all mobile and desktop activity updates properly. Deleting the mobile file and replacing it is very time consuming.

Hello @TLH,
Thank you for letting us know you're experiencing this issue! To help troubleshoot, please provide more information. When did you first notice this issue? When you refer to deleting and replacing the mobile file, do you mean you're performing a cloud reset?
If you haven't already done so, please try following this troubleshooting from this article on troubleshooting issues with Mobile and Web:
Try removing the account from Mobile/Web sync then syncing it again
In the desktop program:
- Go to the Mobile & Web tab.
- Click the # Accounts synced successfully link in the Accounts card to edit your account settings.
- Uncheck the account(s) that are not syncing correctly.
- Click Update Accounts.
- Close and re-open the Accounts for Mobile & Web window.
- Re-check the accounts and click Update Accounts to sync again.
Please let me know how it goes!

Hello, first yes, I was resetting the cloud data and everything came back in balance. As I said earlier, this is time consuming. I tried the process you set out above and as before it is time consuming when I add back the accounts. Also, I see my cash variance was corrected but I still have a minor variance in the US bond investment value in one my investment companies. I am going to reset my cloud data now and see what happens. That took a while to reset, but all of my accounts are in sync and my net worth is off by two cents.

Thank you for your reply,
I'm glad to hear that the cash variance issue seems to be resolved by the troubleshooting steps. Have there been any changes to the cash balance in the investment account(s) since you went through the troubleshooting? Just wanting to confirm if the troubleshooting steps provided a permanent solution to the problem.
Thank you!

@TLH You say you investment balance is off by 2 cents. By any chance is this a mutual fund account at Fidelity Investments?
If so (and and don't know about other firms) this might actually be a result of differences in Fidelity's calcs vs. Quicken's.
When your share balance (which at Fidelity can go to 3 decimal places) and the quote are multiplied to find the amount, Fidelity truncates the fractional shares. So a calculated value of $1.005 (thru $1.009) at Fidelity will be reported as $1.00. Quicken uses standard 5/4 rounding and will report $1.01, which regularly results in penny differences in my Fidelity accounts.
