Everbank download fail "Quicken is currently unable to verify the financial institution"

Sigh
Download *.QFX file from Everbank
Quicken rejects it "Quicken is currently unable to verify the financial institution"
Of course the QFX has the same info as it always has, including the Financial Institution info
ORG EverBank
FID 3997
Of course Everbank says "this is a Quicken problem"
Of course Quicken says "this is an Everbank problem"

Looking at FIDIR.TXT in C:\ProgramData\Quicken\Inet\Common\Localweb\Banklist\2019, I find this entry

Hello @mwitthoft,
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and understand how frustrating this can be.
Since this issue involves a QFX file, it indicates a problem with the file itself. Because QFX files are created and provided directly by the financial institution, this will need to be resolved on their end. Due to this, we are unable to correct the issue internally.
When reaching out to your financial institution, we also recommend requesting to speak with a Tier 2 agent or a supervisor, as they are typically more familiar with third-party applications like Quicken.
Thank you!

The file is in the same format as last month when it worked correctly.
It contains the same header and institution data as last month when it worked correctly.
Since this issue involves Quicken reading the QFX file, it indicates a problem with the file-reading process in Quicken itself.
Due to this, the issue cannot be corrected if Quicken doesn't even want to pay attention.

Negative.
The bank is sending a QFX file with an obsolete FID number, 3997.
Quicken requires QFX files to have a correct FID number, one that exists in the FIDIR.TXT file. Looks like 3997 was deleted from the directory file since last month, per the bank working with Intuit.
No FID found, no file import. The bank must change the FID number in future QFX files. You may want to call their Support center, Level 2, someone who knows about Quicken and complain about this.
Until the bank does make that change you can try this:
Open the downloaded QFX file with Notepad (or any other ASCII text file editor).
[Edited:] Change the FID to 70459.
Also add or change the INTU.BID number to 70459 and ensure the line reads INTU.BID with a period in the middle.
<FI>
<ORG>B1
<FID>70459
</FI>
<INTU.BID>70459
Save the file and import it into Quicken.0 -
BRILLIANCE POINTS FOR YOU !
Your idea about tweaking the FID wasn't exactly on target. BUT it led to something! That number, 70459, is already present in the QFX file where it is identified as
INTUBID
which I suppose means "intuit ID" or something
BUT BECAUSE OF YOUR BRILLIANCE
When I compared with an older import file, one that worked correctly, my attention was drawn to the fact that it has
INTU.BID
instead of INTUBID
I edit the import, add a "dot" , and the import works!
That's a head spinner. I'll contact the bank. Thanks.

Thank you, mwittoft. Worked like a charm! This should have been caught by someone's QA, assuming they test. Very aggravating that the consumer end has to find errors of this impact.

Feb 8th - still not working! This seems to happen every so often. So lame! Come-on!

Still not fixed. Again, the quick fix is
- Download QFX
- It fails on error message
- Use Notepad to open the QFX in your Downloads folder (Mac users can chime in on the Mac way to do this)
- Locate the two text markers INTUBID and INTUUSERID
- Change them to INTU.BID and INTU.USERID
- Save file
- Double click the QFX file in your Downloads folder
- It will import correctly.

Can somebody please post a corrected snip of the QFX file, showing just the header records the way they need to look like. I'd like to update my records for future reference.
Thanks,

I have a ticket opened with Everbank & they said that the current issue is affecting all Everbank Quicken customers. They have no date for resolution (at this point), but have quite a list of customers whom have contacted them about this issue.

For what it is worth, it is the <INTU.BID> that is critical. The <FID> will always be the same as the <INTU.BID> but is ignored by Quicken.
<INTU.USERID> and <DTSERVER> are ignored by Quicken.
But note that other information like the account number is used to "link" this data to a given account in Quicken. When it changes, that is what triggers Quicken to suggest that it might be a new account or needs to be linked to an existing one.
