Syncing Fidelity Investments with Quicken

Quicken Windows Subscription Member ✭✭✭

I've opened accounts with Fidelity Investments. I have a user name and password and am trying to Sync the accounts. I've gone through all of the steps: New Quicken file, New quicken Account (& enter Fidelity Investments) and continue, I get the message that I need login information, which I already have. When I try to activate downloads via the category list, I end up in the same place. What am I doing wrong? Do I need a different type of connection? If so, what type?

    Hello @Moorhatch,

We appreciate you reaching out and telling us about your issue.

Could you please elaborate and explain which "category list" you are referring to?

If possible, it would also be helpful if you could provide screenshots of the process you are going through and what you are seeing. If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.

    Thank you!

Apologies for the typo. It should have read "When I …via the ACCOUNT list, …" Quicken routes me into setting up downloads via One Step. Since it appears I can't do that, is there a way to download from Fidelity Investments to Quicken. There is no link on the Fidelity side of the communications. I see that there are four way for Quicken to interact with Fidelity, and I'm led to believe that direct connect with fidelity hasn't been supported since 2023, what other options are there?

@Moorhatch Well, according to your graphic, your IRA is set for SIMPLE tracking … which means that you get the balances only but no transactions are displayed.

See if you like it better with "Complete" tracking.

At the moment, I can get no "tracking." Quicken won't allow me to set up downloads of any type. It keeps routing me to the Activate One Step screen when I try to set up downloads. I have a Fidelity user ID and password. What steps should I follow to get downloads set up? I click the account, then online services, then set up now. Every time I'm halted at the Activate One Step Screen. I'm technically not advanced and could really use some help. Fidelity has instructions on how to sync with Quicken. Is syncing different from downloading? Does doing so require different steps? HELP!
