Password Bypass

If I click on the Mobile & Web tab in the Windows version, it will prompt me for my password and if I cancel, it will open the tab anyway. Then it will allow me to sync to the web. To me, this sounds like a security issue.

It has been that way since that tab was first created. When showed up years ago I and others pointed it out but quicken never acknowledged it as a problem. Personally, I think the problem is they shouldn’t be prompting at all. I don’t see why they would need passwords for the financial is what they’re asking opening your password which nowadays only includes direct connect , so that you can get to a tab that you decide to a different to mobile or web.
reproduce this I believe you just start a new session so that the password vault has never been entered and then just go to the mobile and web tab and it’ll prompt you. might require having a direct connect account.
