Biller Availability With New Bill Provider?

Since Quicken is now using a new bill provider, I relinked my existing bills. However, I cannot find my utility companies for water and electricity that were linked before.

It seems like there were more billers available with the previous provider. Is the availability more limited with the new provider, and is there an effort to bring it back to parity with how it was before?

Yes, there are quite a few billers missing. I don't know of any listing of "supported billers". I understand the new provider is FISERV (fiserv.com).

The only online bills that appear to work for me are my credit cards. None of my utility bills function. SoCal Gas Co does connect, but remained in a "Pending" state for over a week. SoCal Edison (power co) isn't listed/supported. Verizon's connection always failed. I think those are pretty poor outcomes.

Just FYI: I use Windows but don't think this feature would differ

    Hello @defterdar,

Thanks for reaching out! You’re correct—the new bill provider currently supports a more limited set of billers compared to the previous system. We are actively working with our service provider to expand the list over time.

Could you let me know the names of the utility providers you’re looking for? I can check internally to see if they are currently on the list of supported billers.

    Thank you!

    Hi @Quicken Anja

SoCal Edison, AT&T Wireless, Directv all unlisted.
SoCalGas connects but is stuck in pending mode.
Frontier Communications is listed and fails/errors while in pending mode.
My Fidelity Rewards Visa Card (Elan Financial Services) connected but hasn't downloaded any bill information at all.

As bad as the old biller had become, this new and improved version certainly hasn't impressed me yet either.

I made the fatal error updating today … major regrets, missing ATT / CITI Cards / SCE / Waste Management / SOCAL GAS/Chase / Synchrony / Western Municipal Water. Given this was one of the major reasons I decided to sign up I am now questioning my decision as I think this is a basic feature need. Any ideas when this will be resolved with FISERV adding them (it's not like these are small companies missing

Hi @Quicken Anja, I am looking for:

    1. City of San Marcos Utilities
    2. CenterPoint Energy
    3. Pedernales Electric Coop (PEC)

These were all available prior to Ver. R64.25.

Question… How will we know when new billers are added… when a new Quicken version release occurs?

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

    Hello @Dennis@1,

Thank you for providing the list of billers you want to check.

SoCal Edison and DirecTv are not supported. The only AT&T that I see is AT&T Local and Long Distance.

    Hello @jtkqboston,

Eversource is not supported. Chase, Citibank, and USAA all should be supported.

    Hello @thorn5,

I checked the list and it does not appear that City of San Marcos Utilities, CenterPoint Energy, and Pedernales Electric Coop (PEC) are supported. I reached out internally for more information on how we'll be notified when more billers are supported.

    Hello @JDSD,

Thank you for letting us know you're not seeing these billers. Western Municipal Water, Synchrony, and SCE (I'm assuming that's SoCal Edison?) are not currently supported.

SoCal Gas is supported, but most who attempt to connect to it say it gets stuck in Pending forever. Is that what you're seeing?

AT&T Local and Long Distance is supported, but I don't know if that's the AT&T biller that you need. I see several instances of Waste Management on the list of supported billers, was there a specific URL you were looking for an unable to find?

Chase and Citi should both be supported (Please note that you may need to choose the biller option that exactly matches the connection option you use for your accounts in Quicken, and the account will need to be connected via Express Web Connect +/Quicken Connect).

To help troubleshoot @JDSD, what exactly is happening when you are trying to connect to these billers?

    I hope this helps!

@Quicken Kristina: Someone else from Quicken support explained that Chase, Citi, and USAA credit cards are not supported.

All I can say is I'm quite disappointed in the quick pay service…very few of my payees are supported. But on my bank bill pay web site, everybody is supported. Why can't Quicken Classic support as many as my bank?

Thank you for your reply @jtkqboston,

Do you have the ticket number from when you contacted Support?

What happens when you try to connect Chase, Citi, and USAA as online billers?

    Thank you!

Hi @Quicken Kristina : When I try to add the credit cards they failed as I mentioned in this community post (no ticket opened with Quicken support—sounds like I should do that?):

    Hi @Quicken Anja and @Quicken Kristina ,

Thanks for looking into this. The billers I am looking for are:

    • Georgia Power
    • Xoom Energy (for Georgia)
    • DeKalb County Water (Georgia)

    Hello @defterdar,

Thank you for reaching out! I checked the list for the billers you named. Unfortunately, none of them show up on the list, although you should still be able to track them as manual billers.

    Thank you!

    Hi @Quicken Anja

Did you find out how we'll be notified when more billers are supported.

I have two billers Comcast Cable and Fidelity Credit Card which both setup in the new system but have failed to pick up the latest balances after the new billing cycle started. American Express has not yet hit a billing cycle since the update so that one is still in question. [Removed] And I also agree there needs to be a list. Not seeing anything at all being added makes the users even more despondent.

Thank you for your reply @thorn5,

Currently, there is no process in place to notify when new billers are supported. We did forward your feedback to our teams and they are looking into it.

    Hello @Bione,

Thank you for letting us know you're seeing this issue. To clarify, the online billers are connected and not showing any errors, but are also failing to reflect the current statement balance, now that the statement is out? How recently the statement came out?

I look forward to your response!

For the Xfinity Bill, Sept 2 was the billing date payable the 23rd. For the Fidelity/ELAN Credit Card. The billing period ends the 10th and I usually get the new bill about the 12th.

    Hi @Quicken Anja

I would like to add to this already growing list:

    • CenterPoint Energy
    • Republic Services
  • GLKNY

I would like to add Eversource (in Connecticut) to be put on the list.

@Bione Thanks for checking in! What status, if any, are you seeing for these billers in Quicken? If you’re able, please share a screenshot. You can follow the steps in this Community FAQ for instructions on attaching one, or simply drag and drop the image into your reply.

@Lewis Bernstein I can confirm that PSEG Long Island is currently included in the list of supported billers with the new service provider.

@jefflock I took a look, and unfortunately, at this time, CenterPoint Energy and Republic Services aren’t appearing on the list of supported billers with the new service provider.

@GLKNY I’ll make sure your request for Eversource (Connecticut) is noted and shared with the appropriate team.

    Thank you!

I tried once agin to "Reconnect" with PSEG LI. I filled out the form once again and i get a message that I am already connected but it will not allow me to download anything.

@Lewis Bernstein I had this same issue with a couple of my utilities and it was because they were already set up for bill pay at my bank. once I deleted the bill pay info at my bank I was able to get things working.

    @Quicken Anja @Quicken Kristina

Add Netflix to the list and AT&T Internet

Also, Duke Energy and Verizon are in the list, but always go to PENDING and then FAILED even though I have tried 10+ combinations of the information they are asking for.

  • jefflock

One additional issue I’ve run into is with NV Energy South. When added, it just stays in a “Pending” state indefinitely — it’s been well over a week with no progress. I even tried deleting it and re-adding it, but it still never moves past “Pending.”

Duke Energy Carolinas keeps saying failed. Spectrum Internet isn't on the list and if I try to use Charter it fails.
