Which Financial Institution, and how are you doing that download?

Because an MSI file is part of Q's installation process, and shouldn't have anything to do with a transaction download.

  • I am having the same problem. I can't download from Capital One. All the other sites work correctly. When I try it opens a dialog box saying "please wait while windows configures Quicken". The is says it can find quicken.msi. Do I need to delete and reinstall Quicken?

    Hello All,

Thank you for reporting the issues you are running into.

It sounds to me like what you are describing is actually a Known Issue. As stated in the linked alert, uninstalling and reinstalling the application should resolve the issue.

If this is not the issue you are having, please provide more information. Screenshots of what you are seeing may be helpful. If needed, please refer to this Community FAQ for instructions on how to attach a screenshot. Alternatively, you can also drag and drop screenshots to your response if you are not given the option to add attachments.

    Thanks again!

I have the same problem when accessing my assumptions in the lifetime planner section of quicken. I have not had any issues (yet) downloading transactions from my financial institutions.
