Account Overview - Different Configurations

I maintain two separate Quicken Classic Business & Personal files (one for me and one for my wife).

When I look at my display of each investment account, I have the register of transactions and when I select "Holdings", I get a table of the investments which includes # of shares, current price, market value, etc.

On my wife's display, there are four quadrant graphics ("Total Value", "Portfolio by Security", "Top Movers" and "Value over Time") and I can't figure out what settings I need to use to make it look like my display.

Any suggestions?

Your wife's Investment Account have all been set up as "Simple Investing" and that's why you're seeing the graphics.

Edit those Accounts in your wife's file and on the "General" tab of "Account Details" you should see the option to change from "Simple" to "Complete."

Depending on how long you're wife's Accounts have been connected this way you may find that not all the transaction history actually shows up; as I've never used "Simple" I'm unsure of exactly what you'll get after making the change.

Also with separate files Quicken's Tax Planner will be inaccurate, unless you file separately.
