I still use Quicken 2009 Premiere
I like to buy the old software and use it without annual fees, unless I want to upgrade for newer features that have been added or bugs corrected. Other than the online stuff and app usage, what does Quicken Classic (most recent) give me that 2009 won't?

Hello @QuickMule,
Thank you for reaching out! The primary things that the subscription version of Quicken gives you (aside from the online services) are tech support and updates/bug fixes.
Was there something specific about Quicken 2009 that is no longer meeting your needs?
If you're concerned that you'll eventually have to upgrade to an operating system in which Quicken 2009 no longer works, then you may find this earlier discussion helpful:
I look forward to your response!

Thank you for your reply,
Since you are currently using Windows 8.1, I do not recommend upgrading to the subscription version of Quicken unless you plan to update your Windows operating system to Windows 10 or 11.
Our System Requirements specify that Quicken needs Windows 10 or 11 to function properly: .
I hope this helps!

You should at least try to convert to the 2013 version since you don’t use any online services or download transactions now. Starting in 2014 they instituted an ID password to get into your own data. I’m staying on 2013 on Windows 8.1. Then it should be more stable and run on newer computer systems. And 2013 runs on Windows 11.
You can download 2013 Deluxe directly from Quicken for free using this how to convert article. It’s under Converting from Quicken 2004-2009. Click on the blue words Quicken 2013 for Windows in step 3
FYI - All Quicken versions prior to QW2010 store your data in a series of files all sharing the same filename but with different extensions like - .IDX, .QEL, .QPH & .QDF, and all 4 of those files were rolled into a single-file .QDF in starting in 2010.
I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.
