Portfolio view income suggestion - Add Dividend, Interest, and Yield columns (Q Mac)

I was a stock broker for 40 years and I always prepared portfolio reviews that had two columns that are missing in QMac, they were the stated dividend for the stock and the current yield. The yield is based on the current stock price and the annualized dividend. That information its available if I click on the stock. It takes me to a research window and the last line of data is the dividend and yield. I think QMac should not require the sidestep to get the info.

I would like to add an income column for dividends and interest received, so one is able to get an accurate total return colum of the stocks performance.

Many people are using investments for income, and some of that income is from dividends instead of growth. I would definitely like to see the dividend and the yield based on current stock price shown on the portfolio report.

In Portfolio View, go to Options (top right) and Select "Customize Current View." You can add the information you are looking for in a column.

I’d like to see it as well. Reports are overly biased toward spending will very few analytical oriented investment reports

Many of us who use Quicken to review and make investment portfolio decisions need to be able to see Dividend information in a table sortable format including Dividend % Yield, Dividend Amount, Ex-Dividend date, etc.

I see this has been suggested before but not implemented.

@RayZizik Yes, this request (or most of it) is already embodied in an existing Idea request:

If you haven't done so, you should go to that thread and add your vote and comment.

Creating a new Idea thread for the same feature won't help get this implemented. The way these Idea threads work is that they need to gather 30 or more votes, and then they are submitted to the developers for consideration. They evaluate whether it is doable (for instance, I don't know if ex-dividend date is part of the specification for transmitting transactions from financial institutions), whether they think it is desirable, how much work they think it would take to implement, how big an impact it would have on the user base, and who on the team is needed to do the work if they move ahead. If they do all that and put it on their development schedule, then the status of the Idea thread is changed to "Planned". And then the next phase of the waiting begins, as the actual implementation could occur in 6 months or 3 years!

The existing Idea thread currently has only 21 votes, meaning it has not yet been submitted to the developers because it hasn't garnered the required 30 votes. Posting comments in the other thread will bring it to the top of the active discussions list, which may get other users to see it and vote for it. And that's what's needed: an additional 9 votes on that thread so the moderators here can submit it to the developers. (And that has a much faster path to success than starting a new Idea topic from 1 vote.)
