Bills & Income "Edit and mark as paid" does not work properly for Credit card payments (Q Mac)

First, thanks for adding the "Edit and Mark as Paid" option to the Bills & Income page, it makes it much more useful.

However, when using this command for entering credit card payment transactions the transaction is not properly entered in the credit card account.

The scheduled transaction is assigned the category "Transfer[Credit Card Account]" but when the "Edit and Mark as Paid" option is used to enter it, the target Credit card account is ignored/dropped.

The result is that the transaction is entered as a withdrawal from the payment account (with a category of "Transfer", with no account specified) and nothing is entered into the credit account.

I can confirm this behavior in QM 6.12.2. It is most definitely a bug. Screenshots below.

@Alan18 The workaround for now is to show future transactions in the payment account register (tiny clock icon, top right). Then double click the transaction and choose Pay on Next Update, or More...Mark As Paid. Either of these options will open the transaction for full edit, but not obliterate the Transfer account like Edit & Mark As Paid is doing.

@Quicken Anja Here is the proof of this bug. Please report this up the chain...

Transaction in the Payment account and Credit Card accounts registers before Edit & Mark As Paid:

Transaction in Bills before Edit & Mark As Paid:

Popup window upon clicking Edit & Mark As Paid. Note that the credit card account is still shown in the Category field in this popup, although there is no Transfer field displayed:

Transaction in the payment account after using Edit & Mark as Paid. Note that the Transfer account in the Category and Transfer fields has been blanked out:

Next transaction showing in the credit card account after this action. Note that the March date has been skipped and the April date is the next displayed:

@Quicken Janean I just created a new data file and set it up with only one checking and one credit card account, both offline accounts. Then I was easily able to replicate the issue by creating a Transfer transaction in the checking account, scheduling that transaction and then using Edit and Mark as Paid in the Bills & Income > Bills screen. The Transfer field in the checking account is blanked out when doing this. Entering the transaction using Mark as Paid directly in the checking account does not have this affect.

I have submitted the issue again using Report a Problem and this time included a sanitized data file. After sending the sanitized file, I am able to open it and replicate the issue again. Therefore, when the engineers receive the sanitized file, they can go directly to Bills & Income > Bills, click the three dot icon, select Edit and Mark as Paid and see the issue occur.
