Meriwest Credit Union - OL-292-B error trying to add accounts

boysings
boysings Quicken Windows Subscription Member ✭✭

I noticed that transactions weren't being downloaded for my 5 Meriwest Credit Union accounts. So, I Deactivated them, and tried to set them up again. When I do, after entering my login information for the account, I get the following errors:

In addition, the CONNLOG.TXT file has:

20230412 17:02:16: QFN: Beginning send to https://ofxdc.prd1.ncr.com/cmr/cmr.ofx
20230412 17:02:16: ***QFN kQFFinished: returns 67305872
20230412 17:02:16: The server does not recognize a request from the application. Try again now, or wait and try later.
20230412 17:02:16: QFN: End send to https://ofxdc.prd1.ncr.com/cmr/cmr.ofx, netstatus 14

I've tried doing this for the last day, but with the same results. I've tried performing Refresh on the financial institution, but that didn't make any difference.

Thanks for the link. I've followed those instructions, and still have the same problem. I've opened a ticket with the credit union to see what needs to be done.

What do these lines from the CONNLOG.TXT file mean? Which server does "The server" refer to? ncr.com?

Meriwest told me last week that this should be fixed tomorrow, April 25. Note: I had to get rid of the CLICK HERE links because Quicken wouldn't allow them.

"We appreciate your trust in Meriwest Credit Union's digital banking services. We are enhancing our offerings and would like to inform you about an upcoming change to account numbers generated for Quicken, Mint, and QuickBooks downloads.Effective 04/25/2023, the 2-digit account number currently generated by Digital Banking will be replaced with your actual account number. This simplifies the integration with our digital banking services and enables you to use the same account number for direct deposits and other needs. This will allow QuickBooks connectivity as well. This upgrade will require that you make changes to your Quicken, QuickBooks, or Mint software, so please take action to ensure a smooth transition. The conversion instructions reference these two important Action Dates. Please use the dates provided below:

    • 1st Action Date: Complete by Midnight on April 24:
Back up your current data in Quicken, Mint, or QuickBooks by 4/24/2023.
    • 2nd Action Date: Complete anytime after 9 a.m. on April 25:
Reconnect your Quicken/Mint/QuickBooks to accounts at Meriwest on or after 4/25/2023.

    Conversion instructions:

    • Quicken Users – CLICK HERE
    • QuickBooks Desktop Users – CLICK HERE
    • QuickBooks Online Users – CLICK HERE
    • Mint Users – CLICK HERE

After conversion, verify that all transactions are correctly reflected in your financial software. This change will not affect any other functionality or access to our Digital Banking services. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact our customer service team at (877) 637-4937.  Thank you for choosing Meriwest Credit Union. I tried activating the Meriwest accounts today after the 9am time mentioned in the prior post, and had the exact same result. I've contacted Meriwest to have them continue working on the problem.

I've tried reconnecting to my Meriwest accounts since 4/25 as Meriwest said in their post update instructions. I'm seeing the same problem as reported above. While attempting to reactivate with Meriwest, I get through the prompt where I'm asked to confirm with Meriwest with a code they text to me. Upon doing that, Quicken comes back with an error stating it's not my fault, and Quicken is having trouble connecting with Meriwest Credit Union (see screen shot from the initial poster). This issue continues to this day.

I'm still unable to use Quicken to set up connections to my Meriwest sub-accounts for transaction download. When I logged on to my Meriwest account a few minutes ago, I noticed on the summary page, each of the sub-accounts still has the old two digit numbers to the right of it. From the notice we got from Meriwest about the software upgrade, these two digit numbers were supposed to be replaced by the full account numbers. I wonder if this is the problem.

Anyone heard anything from Meriwest when this is going to be resolved?

In my Meriwest support ticket, they asked me what type of connection I was using for my Meriwest account. I told them the problem is that I cannot activate the account, so there is no type. The problem was clearly described and shown in screenshots when I opened the ticket. Their question didn't instill any confidence in their support.

I've asked in the ticket if they've reproduced my problem (since they previously said it was going to be fixed last month). Not a peep from them.

I've left a message for one of the service representatives at the Chesbro office to see if she can get me an update. (Communicating via the ticket or by calling the 800 number has been totally ineffective.)

Same problem here. Clearly it is widespread. I called Meriwest today and they referred the problem to "IT". I was told I should hear from them in two days. I have been trying since 4/25 without success. I have been with Meriwest since it was the IBM Credit Union in the 1980s. Recently they updated their website and didn't do a decent job with converting Bill Pay. Quicken connect is clearly another issue and they don't seem to be handling it in a timely manner based on this conversation. If it isn't fixed in the next two days, I will try to escalate with Meriwest management. Maybe management doesn't even know it's an issue?

I had an email and phonecall calls with a Financial Center Manager in the Chesbro office today, in addition to a voicemail to a Financial Services Representative. They've spoken to one another about this, and also someone in support. I was told support may try to contact me for a web conference (which I'd suggested 5 days ago). If it happens, I'll post about it here.

There was another Quicken update today, so I upgraded to it.

When are all the CONNLOG.TXT entries from trying to activate my Meriwest account after just starting Quicken. I see there are also errors about an invalid/expired certificate. (If this is referring to my system clock, the clock time is accurately set for PDT.)

I have been having the same issue for the past week with Meriwest. I am trying to "reconnect my Meriwest accounts" per the information @boysings posted above. I have called Meriwest, opened tickets that don't get a response.

Note, everything was working fine prior to April 24, before following the instructions to 'deactivate my accounts' in Quicken, prior to attempting to reactivate them on April 25 (second action date) per the e-mail instructions (also posted above by @boysings)

Meriwest has been about this helpful:

What is interesting in all this is when I deactivated my Meriwest sub-accounts in April as instructed, I'd forgotten one. When the end of month dividend was posted to that sub-account (a CD), Quicken via One Step Update, connected and downloaded the dividend transaction! This happened on May 1.

Of course, now that I've deactivated that sub-account's connection, I can't reconnect with the updated software. Sigh.

Success for me also. Yes - I also appreciate the efforts of those who made it work again.

To the Meriwest people monitoring this thread, I hope this is escalated within Meriwest, that there will be a "lessons learned" session and this will not be allowed to happen again. Yesterday, my thinking was like SteveK99's and I was ready to terminate our 30 year-old relationship with Meriwest. Hopefully you won't see this as just grumbling from another cranky old guy and will improve. Note: I closed Meriwest "Freshdesk" Tickets #2856 and #2929 which were completely ignored by Meriwest.

Working for me now, too. Thanks to all who made it work again!
